the hotel is really amazing. they preserve the original architecture. the location is great and the room is very well designed. Food also great. they really took care of me every minute. I highly recommend this hotel I would stay again and again there. Is the best place for a relaxing weekend

This was our second stay at Tsingpu Tulou. We first stayed here several years ago and I loved it so much I brought my parents this time to experience it. We combined it with a stay in Xiamen and got tsingpu to arrange a car transfer for us. ||What’s special about Tsingpu is the architecture. The courtyard is a beauty and I’m obsessed with the floor tiling there. They also have a roster of activities and since our first stay, they have added more activities like outdoor movies and bbqs over a fire pit which my kids enjoyed. The village hasn’t changed too much - a little bit more developed but still chilled. Probably need some level of mandarin to communicate with the hotel staff. ||We enjoyed the tranquility for 2 nights.

Fantastic hotel for seeing the Tulous in Fujian. Pricey, but worth it. Very charming with fantastic rooms. Just the walk along the stream to the hotel is an experience on its own. The little stream running past the hotel made it very peaceful. All inclusive (except for lunch) package designed for people to go explore the Tulous during the day, food was delicious in a great restaurant over looking the stream. The restaurant is semi open and the hotel was very attentive with insect repellent incense underneath the dining tables and insect repellent readily available for guests. At night the hotel took us up the river (15min walk) to go see fireflies at a spot over a bridge, amazing experience. They also set up a tent near just next to the bridge with drinks and cut fresh fruit available. The hotel is the epitome of what modern China should be like. It perfectly blends the old (restored old buildings) into new modern, tasteful functional buildings. Staff were attentive, quick to respond. Highly recommend.

Great design and good food, as well as service. Beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful and relaxing. They made sure they respond to every question on wechat speedily and effectively. Try to get their contact on wechat. Entry to the area is included in your room fee. Use passport to get access and let them know you are a guest. Their activities and classes are interesting and enriching.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly, and so helpful! The facilities were lovely, tasteful, and comfortable. There were elegant touches in everything, from scented towels upon arrival to delicious teas served on the patio. The food was good, and we were given generous portions. My friends and I enjoyed our visit to the tulous arranged by the hotel, and they helped us book a car and d Dover to do more exploring on our own. The village the hotel is located in is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the area!

I had seen pictures and film of the famous old Tulou of Fujian, many of which are still inhabited by the local Hakka people. They are set in authentic villages in forested green hills and well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in history, architecture or traditional culture.||||I selected Tsingpu Tulou Retreat as my base to visit this enchanting area and it is quite simply stunning. One of my favourite places I've stayed, anywhere in the world. On ethe edge of the authentic and unspoilt Taxia village, the hotel is crafted from several old Tulou with sensitive modern additions. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well designed and the public areas are gorgeous.||||The hotel is quite easily accessed too. I took a taxi from Xiamen airport and the drive was around 2 hours 20 minutes along good quality, but yet scenic roads. A taxi will cost between 400 and 600 RMB each way.||||The hotel is not cheap, but the rates includes an excellent breakfast and dinner, soft drinks and 2 activities per day. I did two guided tours around some of the spectacular clusters of Tulou in the surrounding villages and countryside.||||The staff at the hotel, mostly locals, were charming and very kind, although only a few of them speak English. I was extremely well looked after by Jack, who spoke very good English and worked tirelessly to ensure I had a good stay.||||The generous, multi course dinners comprised some of the best Chinese food I've eaten. fresh and tasty and showcasing local ingredients and flavours. To sit in the hotel's open-sided dining room and enjoy a fine dinner with a glass of wine with the soundtrack of a gurgling stream and chirping crickets is magical.||||This is a memorable hotel which makes the perfect base to visit this beautiful and as yet unspoilt corner of China. You will definitely want to come back having stayed here. Very highly recommended.

A wonderful hotel with warm and young staff. Very uncommercial and wholesome with excellent service and good simple food! We all loved it and will go to their sister hotels to check them out. Room 303 is v nice

My parents and I stayed here for 2 nights with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Prior to our arrival, we had been communicating with the staff via Wechat and they kept us updated all the way, even when we were in the hotel, to ensure we were kept updated on meal times and changes in daily activities.||Our rooms were beautiful. We were initially taken aback when we realised there were no TVs in the rooms but this was a small issue as we truly had a rested stay. We enjoyed the complimentary Chinese tea making facilities and goodies from the kitchen that were delivered to our rooms nightly. We had a hot dessert delivered in a themos flask and home-made walnut cookies.||The meals were delicious albeit the big portions. Free tea, cookies and fruits were also available throughout the day for those who felt peckish. Kudos to the staff who remembered our preferances and provided personalised services. We did not even had to remind them which room were staying in when we needed their help to bring our luggage down.||There are daily activities like walking tours and workshops to keep patrons busy. We had a guided tour to Taxia Village with a tea break in between, and participated in making scented clay ornaments and muah chee! That was fun. There are also nightly movie screenings at the courtyard and a bar on-site if you are bored. ||On our last day, the staff escorted us to our car and packed for us fruits and water for our journey to Xiamen. ||It was an enjoyable experience and big thumbs up to all the service staff =)
