Kudos to Front Office Manager Danny, who ensured our stay was top-notch by upgrading our suite as Diamond members. The room was nothing short of spectacular. The concierge and bell desk team always greeted us warmly, even looking out for us when it rained. A special mention for Eva for her exceptional service. Hats off to Tracy, the restaurant manager. She and her team remembered our preferences, serving up delightful French toast and fried noodles for breakfast every day. If you're seeking a hotel with exceptional service staff, look no further. LOCATION: 20 minutes walking from muslim street food road, 15 minutes wallking from metro station. The hotel is part of a big complex of other hotels and buildings, it takes at least 8 minutes to get to the street by walk. Not so convenient for shops in the vicinity.||ROOMS: oldish but good. Spacious bathroom. No USB plugs. ||BREAKFAST: very poor. Nothing to do with a usual Mercure breakfast. Only salty and not so broad choice. No marmelades, horrible croissants, juices and coffee. ||STAFF: No English spoken. Very difficult.||SWIMMING POOL: it is located in another building of the complex, so you have to get out of the hotel walk for 3 minutes, enter another much better hotel and reach second floor. In the much better hotel English is spoken by staff. Swimming pool is nice and big BUT IT IS OPEN TO EXTERNALS! It was full of screaming kids, not relaxing at all. ||NO RESTAURANT OR BAR AVAILABLE HERE, only at hotel aside (but VERY VERY VERY expensive).

I am writing this review to express my extremely satisfied and pleasant stay at this hotel. I will describe my experience in this hotel objectively and fairly. I chose Sofitel Legend to celebrate a special anniversary. I am very satisfied with the arrangement of the hotel. I would like to thank the following three staff members: Tommy Windsky, housekeeper Hattie Flora, and Frank from the concierge department, who helped me prepare the cards and cake. The service was very warm and all the staff were very nice during the stay. Secondly, the hotel is in a good location, with its own back garden and high vegetation coverage. Located in the old city center, it is easy to get to the city attractions. The next time I visit Xi 'an, Sofitel Legend will be my only choice.

On arrival the building looks impressive, but when we arrived by taxi late at night 12.45 pm the night porter was on his phone And DID NOT come down from his seat untill we got almost the top of the stairs, he did open the door but did not offer to help with luggage🤔🤔 |The lobby reception desk is smaller than expected, but it is an old building, 1 lift 🤔 |Got told the wrong floor for our room by the staff, so had to come back down to reception ( when coming in late at night is not good) The room was ok clean and had a very big bed but couldn’t connect to the internet, also had a old feal very dated, and did NOT. Like the lighting system at all , operated from one side of the bed ONLY Stupid 🤔😡internet bad so had to change rooms. It was no better 😡😡 so we had to just use normal signal ( using up valuable data)|Breakfast was ok nice omelettes but the breakfast was not as good or impressive as other places of 4 * hotels, staff was pleasant and trying to be helpful.|The swimming pool as advertised was NOT in the hotel but in the Sofitel hotel which was ((very impressive hotel) but 5* which is 2 minutes walk away🤔 |I think in its day the hotel was a grand place to stay with opulent decor, but if you like more modern it’s not the place to stay

The entrance and reception is very impressive, bright and spacious, our room was very different. The room was very dark, small and lacked that instant freshness, it felt more like a cupboard. It overlooked derelict buildings and had no view. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room and I got a really nasty bite. Our room was tired and small. It needed an upgrade and looked entirely different than photos shown on their website - photos with the blinds pulled down in the bathroom overlook derelict buildings or the back of the hotel – not a beautiful holiday view. |Room service was excellent and delivered quickly but we had to eat off our knees, there was no room to place the two trays on the tiny desk. |The breakfast buffet had a good selection of food although all a little bland. ||The hotel is in a good location but not sure if I would return based on the room.||An impressive appearance not reflected in the rooms, 5 star reception area, 3 star rooms. I can only base my opinion on the room the hotel chose to allocate us.

I had a cosy and a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful with smiling face. The breakfast buffet was lovely and I loved the digital lighting in my room. The hotel is in a compound with other hotel and it was very convenient for me to visit my friends staying in the neighboring hotel. It is conveniently located near many shopping malls, restaurants and coffee shops.

I had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Legend Xi'An. I recently stayed at another Sofitel property in South East Asia where I had to switch 5 rooms during my 4-day stay. To avoid a similar experience, I spoke with Sofitel Legend in advance. They have been taking care of me beyond my expectations ever since. Some highlights are the pre-arrival email, the check-in with Derek and Danny, the hotel introduction with Butler Farsave, and all the other staff who have been so kind and always helped me with a smile. The rooms were spacious, and clean and had excellent amenities. The hotel is within the Xi'An city walls. Hence, you can easily go to all the sightseeing spots. Nothing was too much, and everything was personalized! Butler Farsave even made sure the Accor welcome amenities were personalized and gave me a farewell gift. Traveling alone can be lonely at times, but thanks to the Sofitel Legend Xi'An staff, I felt at home outside my home country. The whole stay was so impressive and touching. It left a mark on my heart! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Xi'an. Thank you so much for this excellent stay, Sofitel Legend Xi'An!
