鞍山四海大酒店

I enjoyed my stay, although I spent just one night, the staff were welcoming. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a nice pool don't forget to pack up swimming costume, Breakfast is between 7 am to 9 pm try to go on time.

I stayed here for about 8 days in mid-May. All in all, this was okay just not for more than 2 nights or on weekends. This place specializes in meetings and weddings. All the rooms surround a main atrium. The events are all in the middle and VERY LOUD. When events are happening, the elevators are extremely crowded and slow.||Good- there are good things about this hotel. For instance the shower was excellent with no water flow restriction. The buffet was very large. The buffet was very large. While there was little American type food, the Chinese selections were very tasty. Other than the noise at certain times of the day, this is a good place to stay

Our friend had already booked this for us. The room was comfortable, except we had the window open as the AC didn't really work. (Most hotels we stayed in are like this.) Comfortable bed. No Western items at breakfast, which won't affect everyone, but did me. ||Good area for a stroll around, quite safe.

不喜欢没窗户的房间，但是这家的促销房就是，比较闷还好有风筒可以换气，房间内很暖和。双床房一张床住2个人都没问题很大。隔音差了点，影响不大。早餐味道之丰盛，有牛奶和卷饼味道很好价格也不贵。|

First. the Sihai Location map is wrong ...it is show as "Tag 9" on the Anshan Hotel Map, ..it is more likely Anshan Inernational Hotel. SiHai is further up towards the top of the page, it is a good ten minute drive to the city centre.||...Beware of the mini bar, most travellers would think, this means beverages and other treats left in the room. ..At the Sihai everything in your room is the a mini bar item, plastis shower caps, sachets of coffee and tea etc ..the benchtops are loaded with things that would be complimentary in any western hotel but here it is all chargeable.||Upon registering you are charged more than double the accommodation cost as a deposit. (my accommodation was 1938 yuan and the deposit required was 5000 yuan).||I was told I would have the difference refunded. I understood that to mean they would take an imprint of the Credit Card and only charge the actual cost when checking out. ....No no no? they actually draw down the 5000 yuan and then they credit the balance to your card, they tell you that the money is back on your card and you can now use it ...no no no? you have to wait the 2-3 days for your bank to process it before you can use any of the money credited back on your card ....make sure you have a fat credit card that can take that sort of hit.||The inconvenience this caused me on my return journey home was nearly catastrophic. That portion of funds locked up, formed my return cost home.||I only became aware of the lock up when I arrived in Hong Kong and I went to withdraw some Hong Kong Dollars for a cash purchase. The wihdrawl was rejected as I had insuffient funds I checked my balance and realised the 3000 yuan had not yet been updated on my card. ...This left me in position where I had to re-think my return journey home. ...Being Christmas Eve, I was left feeling quite humble, as I had to consolidate the remainder of my money in order to get home.||One thing I have learnt about China and the translation of Madarin to English ...don't accept the first logical meaning of a translation, question the meaning for your precise understanding, as you will be caught out. The broad meaning of the translation is correct but as westerners we read more into the meaning of things than what we should.||I have a few more trips to Anshan coming up, but I will avoid SiHai ..."bu hao SiHai"

总的环境还行，位置算不错，停车位太少。房间面积还算宽敞，进房感觉空气不好。被褥很旧了，设施也很旧，感觉应该很多年没装修了。热水很好，水量很大。宴会厅很大，能同时办好几个婚宴。

住宿条件不行，房间里面的设施都太旧啦，木地板都翘起来啦，那个走廊的暗道很夸张，很黑暗的，地毯还有发霉的味道，还有废墟，而且灯光很暗。服务不好，问她也就爱理不理的。而且这个位置马马虎虎，一般。唯一只有早餐不错，种类很多，很丰富，其他的都不行。
