法门寺宾馆

We wanted to see the Famen Temple, but since it is 3 hours one way from Xi'an, our guide suggested we stay at the 5 star Famen Temple Hotel instead of driving back and forth in 1 day. The hotel seems to still be under construction, but the portion in which we stayed was gorgeous, serene, and very accessible to the Disney-world-like site that the Famen Temple has become.||||The room was spacious, with a comfortable double bed, minimalistic furnishings and lovely statuary. Unfortunately, it was missing water, missing shampoo and other toiletries. It seems that they were used by the people who had checked out before us and had not been replaced. If it matters, the entire property is non-smoking.||||The breakfast was out the back door and across the road leading to the temple. As expected, it was vegetarian. The food was not designed with Western tourists in mind, vegetarians or not. Cold sweet soup and doughy buns were all that were offered. Perhaps if the hotel had been fuller, the food would have been better.||||It is convenient to stay in this hotel if visiting the temple for religious reasons. The parking lot appears to hold thousands of cars. Check out was prolonged because the hotel staff did not know how to process credit cards. I assume as they are business longer, they will get all of the requirements (copies of passports and visas and credit cards) under control. The hotel, itself, is beautiful. Whether I would go there solely to visit the temple is debatable.

我们本来想去法门寺看看，但由于距离西安单程要3个小时，导游建议我们住五星级的法门寺酒店，不要开车来回1天。酒店似乎还在建设中，但我们住的地方很华丽，很宁静，而且很容易到达迪士尼世界般的法门寺。||||房间很宽敞，有一个空调。舒适的双人床、简约的家具和可爱的雕像。不幸的是，缺少水、洗发水和其他洗漱用品。看来是被在我们之前退房的人用过的，没有被更换过。如果有必要的话，整个酒店都禁止吸烟。||||早餐在后门和通往寺庙的马路对面。正如所料，这是素食。这些食物的设计并没有考虑到西方游客，无论是否素食。提供的都是冷甜汤和面团。也许如果酒店能住满的话，食物会更好。||||如果出于宗教原因参观寺庙，住在这家酒店很方便。停车场似乎停有数千辆汽车。由于酒店工作人员不知道如何处理信用卡，退房时间被延长。我认为，随着他们的业务时间更长，他们将控制所有要求（护照、签证和信用卡的副本）。酒店本身很漂亮。我是否会去那里只是为了参观寺庙是值得商榷的。

Famensi has always been a famous Chinese Buddhist temple, but became world-famous when a decade ago, relics of the Buddha were found in a hidden treasure chamber found beneath the temple proper. The Famen Temple Hotel was built to accommodate the throngs of Buddhists and tourists who come to visit the temple and the many historical sites in the region.||||it is a superb hotel; ultra-modern with beautiful, large (almost cavernous) rooms decorated in a style that exudes tranquility and repose. (We rolled out our yoga mats; how many hotel rooms allow one to do that?) If a hotel can be described as "serene", this would be the hotel. Each room along the long hotel corridors is identified by number and a small seated Buddha figurine. Most rooms have a window seat overlooking a small garden or trees, perfect for resting, reading, or meditation. There is also a Buddhist restaurant (no meat, no alcohol) that serves traditional Buddhist meals; dinner was delicious; breakfast was more of a challenge for our non-Chinese/Japanese fellow travellers.

法门寺一直是中国著名的佛教寺庙，但十年前，在寺庙地下的一个隐藏宝库中发现了佛陀的舍利子，从而闻名于世。法门寺酒店是为了接待前来参观寺庙和该地区许多历史古迹的佛教徒和游客而建造的。||||这是一家一流的酒店；超现代，拥有漂亮、宽敞（几乎像洞穴一样）的房间，装饰风格散发着宁静和安宁的气息。 （我们推出了瑜伽垫；有多少酒店房间允许这样做？）如果一家酒店可以用“宁静”来形容，那就是这家酒店。沿着酒店长长的走廊，每个房间都有编号和一个小佛坐像。大多数客房均设有靠窗座位，俯瞰小花园或树木，非常适合休息、阅读或冥想。还有一家佛教餐厅（无肉无酒），供应传统佛教餐点；晚餐很美味；早餐对于我们的非中国/日本旅伴来说更像是一个挑战。

First thing to know. This place is massive! It's 30rmb for a round trip tram ride, which I recommend to save you time. The path towards the main building is lined with Buddha status and the main building itself houses breathtakingly huge Buddhas.

首先要知道。这个地方很大！电车往返30元，我推荐这样可以节省时间。通往主楼的道路两旁都是佛像，主楼本身也供奉着令人惊叹的巨大佛像。

宾馆的位置特别好，就在法门寺的周边，离门口也就一段路程，特别方便，而且停车位很多，不用愁，酒店的房间挺大的里面有一张大床，床垫很软还有被套和床单是纯白色的，很干净，就是价格吧，也许因为到旅游圣地，才会那么高吧
