The So Young Hostel is located in central Xi'an with bus stops located a short walk a couple of streets away. I was also able to walk to the drum and bell tower from this hostel with no problem but admittedly I do like walking. ||||I stayed here with 3 friends for a couple of nights in a room, which was essentially two rooms merged into one with four single beds and private bathroom. The room itself at a glance was spacious and comfortable, although it did have a slight musty smell. Room was equipped with air con, TV, kettle, hair dryer and toiletries. On arriving the bathroom light was not working. I told the staff at the front desk on our way out and they advised me to inform them once we returned to the hostel and they would send someone up to fix it...which I did and they did promptly. However, when I returned to the room the air con at this point had also packed up so this also needed fixing. Later that evening we returned to the room to find the bathroom light and the air con were again not working but also there was no electricity in what would be the second bedroom. We informed the staff at the hostel and they were really good and responded quickly to the problem. Instead of trying to fix what seemed to be an ongoing problem with the electricity, they moved us to another 4 bedded room on a different floor. This room was smaller but brighter and didn't smelly musty. However, the following day we discovered the shower had blocked and water leaked all over the bathroom floor. Once again the staff were very responsive and came to unblock the shower promptly.||Two of my friends decided to extend their stay in Xi'an by another day so after we checked out of the 4 bedded room, they checked into a twin room with private bathroom. The bathroom was really small so much so that the shower was practically over of the toilet. Whilst I did not stay in this room my friends informed me that later that night their toilet had blocked and they were told it could not be fixed until the following morning. ||||Aside from the multiple problems we experienced with multiple rooms the hostel itself is pretty decent. The receptionists are very friendly and welcoming and provided us with maps and tips for getting around to various points in the city. There is a café/bar on the 12th floor which is really quirky and offers western food, including breakfast which is served all day. Prices ranged from around 18-40¥. We ate here quite a few times because it was convenient, pleasant and the food was good. The lady who served us most times was really friendly and spoke good English but encouraged us to practice our Chinese with her as we were students, which was nice. The café/bar also has various games including a table top football game that you can play and they have live music and activities on in the evenings. A couple of things to be aware of: 1. they have cats which wander around the café 2. Although they do accept cash, WeChat seems to be the preferred method of payment. We were asked a few times if we could pay together with wechat and then sort out individual costs between ourselves.||||I have only given this hostel 3 stars based on the experience with the rooms. However I cannot fault the staff, location or the food, which were all great!

素漾青年旅舍位于西安市中心，距离公交车站仅几步之遥。我还可以从这家旅馆毫无问题地步行到鼓楼和钟楼，但不可否认，我确实喜欢步行。 ||||我和 3 个朋友在一个房间里住了几个晚上，这个房间本质上是两个房间合并成一个房间，有四张单人床和私人浴室。房间本身一看就宽敞舒适，虽然确实有轻微的霉味。房间配有空调、电视、水壶、吹风机和洗浴用品。到达时浴室灯不亮。我在出去的时候告诉了前台的工作人员，他们建议我一回到旅馆就通知他们，他们会派人来修理它……我照做了，他们也很快就这么做了。然而，当我回到房间时，空调此时也已经坏了，所以这也需要修复。那天晚上晚些时候，我们回到房间，发现浴室的灯和空调又坏了，而且第二间卧室也没有电。我们通知了旅馆的工作人员，他们真的很好，很快就解决了问题。他们没有试图解决似乎持续存在的电力问题，而是把我们搬到了不同楼层的另一个 4 床房间。这个房间比较小，但是比较明亮，而且没有霉味。然而，第二天我们发现淋浴被堵住了，浴室地板上到处都是漏水。工作人员再次反应迅速，及时赶来疏通淋浴间。||我的两个朋友决定在西安再延长一天，所以在我们从四床房退房后，他们入住了一间双床房设有私人浴室。浴室真的很小，所以淋浴几乎在厕所上方。虽然我没有住在这个房间，但我的朋友告诉我，那天晚上晚些时候他们的厕所被堵住了，他们被告知要到第二天早上才能修好。 ||||除了我们在多个房间遇到的多个问题之外，旅馆本身相当不错。接待员非常友好和热情，为我们提供了地图和前往城市各个地点的建议。 12楼有一家咖啡厅/酒吧，很奇特，提供西餐，包括全天供应的早餐。价格在18-40元左右。我们在这里吃了好几次了，因为它很方便、令人愉快而且食物也很好。为我们服务最多的那位女士非常友好，英语说得很好，但鼓励我们和她一起练习中文，因为我们还是学生，这很好。咖啡厅/酒吧还提供各种游戏，包括您可以玩的桌上足球游戏，晚上还有现场音乐和活动。有几件事需要注意：1.他们有猫在咖啡馆里闲逛。2.虽然他们接受现金，但微信似乎是首选的支付方式。有几次我们被问到是否可以用微信一起付款，然后我们自己计算个人费用。||||根据房间的体验，我只给这家旅馆 3 星。不过，我无可挑剔的员工、位置或食物，都很棒！

Hands down the best hostel I stayed at in China! The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. However, what really makes this a stand out place to stay is the staff. I have never felt so welcomed and made to feel at home. Our first night we were just hanging in the bar and the gentleman at reception (sorry I forgot to catch his name) came over and taught us how to play mahjong, it was an awesome night. Our second night we did the cooking class with Joyce and I could not recommend it enough. Joyce showed us how to cook simple, homely and delicious meals, it was another great night. The staff at the hostel were a huge highlight to our trip to Xi'an and I can not thank them enough.

毫无疑问是我在中国住过的最好的旅馆！房间干净、舒适、宽敞。然而，真正让这里成为一个出色的住宿地点的是这里的员工。我从未感到如此受欢迎并有宾至如归的感觉。我们的第一个晚上，我们只是在酒吧里闲逛，接待处的那位先生（抱歉我忘记了他的名字）过来教我们如何打麻将，这是一个很棒的夜晚。第二天晚上，我们和乔伊斯一起上了烹饪课，我极力推荐它。乔伊斯向我们展示了如何做简单、家常又美味的饭菜，又是一个美好的夜晚。旅舍的工作人员是我们西安之旅的一大亮点，我对他们感激不尽。

We stayed at this hostel in Xi'an for 4 nights. It's actually a hotel, but the rooms are very clean, the wooden bed design is really modern. Our room was v spacious with a sofa at the back of the room and a desk! The bathroom was clean, toilet and the shower separated but the toilet had a problem with the drainage system I think and smelt kinda bad!! But when the room was cleaned they obv cleaned the toilet and then the smell went away. They have a sky bar at the top of the hotel on the 12th floor with the CUTEST LIL CATS!!! There's three of them and they seem well cared for and very happy. They often have some casual/acoustic live music in the bar. They serve food (a bit expensive but looked good), beers, cocktails, coffee etc. Location is okay, close to restaurants and small supermarkets and pretty close to most of the attractions. The Muslim street is a 20 min walk away. Also, there are other foreigners here!! I think some people are worried that just Chinese tourists stay here so it's harder to meet English speaking people but there are a mix of people so all good. This hotel is in partner with another hostel called Han Tang House which is less then a km nearby, it's definitely more of a hostel and it's also clean etc so check this out if you prefer more of a hostel vibe. I took no photos except of the cats ahaha, so enjoy.

我们在西安的这家旅馆住了 4 晚。其实是一家酒店，但是房间很干净，木床设计真的很现代。我们的房间很宽敞，房间后面有一张沙发和一张桌子！浴室很干净，厕所和淋浴是分开的，但厕所的排水系统有问题，我觉得而且闻起来有点难闻！但是当房间打扫干净后，他们就清理了厕所，然后气味就消失了。他们在酒店顶层 12 楼设有一个空中酒吧，里面有最可爱的小猫！他们一共有三个人，看起来受到了很好的照顾，而且非常快乐。他们经常在酒吧举办一些休闲/原声现场音乐。他们提供食物（有点贵，但看起来不错）、啤酒、鸡尾酒、咖啡等。位置还可以，靠近餐馆和小超市，距离大多数景点也很近。步行20分钟即可到达穆斯林街。而且这里还有其他外国人！！我想有些人担心只有中国游客住在这里，所以很难见到说英语的人，但这里有各种各样的人，所以都很好。这家酒店与另一家名为汉唐楼的旅馆合作，距离附近不到一公里，它绝对更像是一家旅馆，而且也很干净等，所以如果您更喜欢旅馆的氛围，请检查一下。除了猫之外我没有拍任何照片，哈哈哈，所以尽情享受吧。

Large rooms, very clean, large clean bathroom with abundance of hot water. The Sky Bar Cafe was a good place to eat. Cheap local draft beers. It's China so not a lot of heat in common areas such as lobby and Sky Bar Cafe. The staff booked my tours, airline flights and assisted with getting my Sims card recharged. Excellent experience..

房间很大，非常干净，浴室又大又干净，热水充足。天空酒吧咖啡馆是一个吃饭的好地方。便宜的当地生啤酒。这是中国，所以大堂和空中酒吧咖啡厅等公共区域的温度不是很高。工作人员为我预订了旅游、航班，并协助我的模拟人生卡充值。很棒的体验..

We stayed here for two nights in a deluxe double room, and at a first glance everything looked pretty decent. As we looked closer, however, we started seeing some major problems with the room. First of all, it smelled like an old ashtray. It has previous been quite common to smoke inside in China, but with a proper wash down, it should be possible to get rid of the smell. The wallpaper was falling off in our room, there was a hole in the ceiling, and the cabling behind the bed-side table looked like something you wouldn't want to get anywhere near.||The room was filthy - there were sunflower seeds hiding on the floor, and it was clear that it hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time.||The hostel is an old hotel - it shoes as slippers, keycard etc. still has the hotel name on it, and by the looks of it, it has had a few years to degrade before being transformed to hostel.||The staff here is absolutely amazing - really nice friendly and helpful people, and the skybar is a really lovely place to hang out. The food servered there was quite nice, although we did have to ask them to cook our chicken a bit more as it was raw when we first received it. Cheap drinks, and super fun games at the sky bar gives a lovely atmosphere where they really try to make the stay good.||The hostel is only a short walk from the metro station, and although the communication before arrival was sparsome, the did provide quite easy directions - a map to support it would have been nice though, as we almost took a wrong turn coming out of the metro station.||We went on a trip to the terra cotta warriers offered by the hostel, which was together with people from other hostels too - definately reccomendable. The guide is super nice, and there is no trying to waste time with shopping or seeing things that aren't worth seeing.||All in all our stay in Xi'an was great, but for us to return to this hostel and to reccomend it to others, the rooms need to be fixed up!||In the hostels defence, it was priced much below what we have otherwise been paying, but it would still be nice to sleep in a room that is at least clean.

我们在豪华双人间住了两晚，乍一看一切看起来都还不错。然而，当我们仔细观察时，我们开始发现房间存在一些重大问题。首先，它闻起来像旧烟灰缸。以前在中国室内抽烟已经很常见了，但是只要好好冲洗一下，应该可以去除烟味。我们房间的壁纸脱落了，天花板上有一个洞，床头柜后面的布线看起来就像是你不想靠近的东西。||房间很脏——有葵花籽藏在地板上，很明显已经很长时间没有好好打扫了。||这家旅馆是一家老酒店——鞋子、拖鞋、钥匙卡等，上面仍然有酒店的名字，而且看起来，在被改造为旅馆之前，它已经退化了几年。||这里的工作人员绝对棒极了——非常友好和乐于助人的人，空中酒吧是一个非常可爱的闲逛的地方。那里提供的食物非常好，尽管我们确实不得不要求他们多煮一点鸡肉，因为我们第一次收到鸡肉时它是生的。天空酒吧的廉价饮料和超级有趣的游戏营造出可爱的氛围，他们真的尽力让住宿变得愉快。||这家旅馆距离地铁站仅几步之遥，尽管抵达前的沟通很少，但提供了相当简单的路线 - 不过如果有地图来支持就好了，因为我们从地铁站出来时差点走错了路。||我们去了旅馆提供的兵马俑之旅，旅馆是在一起的也和其他旅馆的人一起住过——绝对值得推荐。导游超级友善，不会浪费时间去购物或看不值得看的东西。||总而言之，我们在西安的住宿体验很棒，但对于我们来说，回到这家旅馆并推荐给其他人，房间需要修理！||在旅馆的辩护中，它的价格远低于我们原本支付的价格，但睡在一个至少干净的房间里还是很好的。

Loved this hostel. Based over the two top floors (11th and 12th) of a tower block, this place is a hidden gem.|The ladies (especially Joyce and Maggie) are friendly and helpful, and generally the English spoken is good.|There is food available here, freshly cooked and tasty although a little more expensive than you can find in the local eateries nearby.|Room generally clean, a little shabby. Aircon ok. Got bitten a bit by mosquitos, especially in the common area/restaurant.|Activites ever night- sign up though so the girls can prepare. Dumpling Party worth a go! Mahjong night fun too!|Hostel in good location. Buses super convenient. ||

We were a group of 5 students and stayed for 3 nights, the room was clean and spacious enough, the beds were very comfortable and with plugs, shelf, lamp and hungers. Curtains around the beds give you privacy at night. On the top floor there's a very nice bar, the decoration is of a very good taste and it gives a warm and multicultural environment for all kinds of guests. The staff is so friendly and nice you feel at home. Food is even better!|Every night they organize themed parties so you never get bored.|5 out of 5, the place is very good but the staff makes it wonderful.

我们一行 5 名学生，住了 3 个晚上，房间干净、宽敞，床很舒服，有插头、架子、灯和饥饿感。床周围的窗帘为您提供夜间的隐私。顶楼有一个非常漂亮的酒吧，装修很有品味，为各类客人提供了一个温馨的、多元文化的环境。工作人员非常友好和友善，让您有宾至如归的感觉。食物甚至更好！|每天晚上他们都会组织主题派对，所以你永远不会感到无聊。|五分之五，这个地方非常好，但工作人员让它变得很棒。

This hostel is one of the best hostels that I’ve been on in China. ||The reception has a lot of sweet English speaking staff! The atmosphere is super super cool! There are a lot of activities for the backpackers in the reception for-example “Dumpling party”. ||The rooms are big, clean and very comfortable! ||If I ever come back to Xi’an this is the place I’m gonna stay! ||

这家旅馆是我在中国住过的最好的旅馆之一。 ||接待处有很多会说英语的友善工作人员！气氛超级超级酷！接待处有很多适合背包客的活动，例如“饺子派对”。 ||房间很大，干净，很舒服！ ||如果我再回到西安，这就是我要住的地方！ ||
