The site we were given was okay—definitely not a 4 or 5-star spot, but acceptable for a short stay. Maneuvering our 40 ft RV with a trailer into the assigned site was a bit of a challenge due to the layout. If we return, we’d definitely request a different site for an easier setup. There seemed to be quite a few locals staying there, including one setup with a large fenced-in area for kids to play. It was a bit surprising—hard to tell if all the toddlers belonged to the same family. Maybe it’s just a more affordable alternative to owning a home in the area. As someone from out of town, it was a different vibe than we’re used to, but perhaps that's the norm here. The main park is actually located across the street and appeared to be a little nicer. It seemed more geared toward long-term snowbirds, with a more polished setup overall.

Southern Palms has everything you need for camping. ||Plus, they have extras. Group meals, dances and more.||||Our campsite was larger than most sites at other campgrounds. All the hookups worked fine. The sewer is located at the back of the campsite, so be sure to bring extra sewer hoses. Enjoyed having cable TV.

When we arrived we were escorted to a site with a tree. We have a 44 ft fifth wheel and we did not fit. The next site we were escorted to had a very unhappy seasonal camper. We were told that this was the only other available. This site is very tight with no room for our tow vehicle. We have no room to move around the site. After a week I decided to question why we were given this site when there were so many available. I was told that they were holding sites for a rally that is coming in 1/17. |Some other observation the park is run down. The pool was closed because it not up to compliance. People do not pick up after there pets |As a Thousand Trails member I am very disappointed in the way we were handled and treated by the front desk staff. I went to see the member specialist and they were more willing and helpful in trying to find better accommodation.|Unfortunately this will be our last stay here and do not recommend m.

Pool was closed but other amenities were great lots to do to stay active. Wish the sites were a bit wider but that seems to becoming the norm. Seems RV parks are stacking as many RVs as possible into the area they have. Barley enough room to put out the awning on our RV. But all in all will probably return if we are in the area

This park is a dump. Lots are small, pool is closed, the roads are all pot holed. Staff doesn’t control laundry facilities and they have knowledge of them. I was full time, year round since Oct 2021 and my lot in the summer was never mowed. I put away my outdoor rug and chairs so they could maintain. My brother came to check on my rv all summer and the grass was thigh high. The new management is awful. Do not waste your time or money.

We have lived here on the permanent residence side of the park for 3 years. Can't say it's always been great but there's a huge influx of younger families moving in and less and less snowbirds every year. It's nice to see some LIFE in a neighborhood like this.

Perhaps the best social activities at an RV resort in Florida. However the main pool has been closed all winter if not longer. You have to drive 1-1/2 miles to use a neighboring one. Really drags a memorable stay down. Bummer.

I'll try to be generous here. Staff was friendly. The only interaction I had was when I checked in the resort. I booked a month stay late in the game and this property was one of the few that had a spot. I saw reviews and booked hoping for the best as we were visiting family. Talking to many Class A motorhome owners the theme was they were members and this company's inexpensive membership plans is what they can afford. This is the only reason that can be justified staying in this park. Bathrooms cleaned on a schedule. Plumbing in bathrooms is substandard. Faucets in showers function poorly and toilets needed multiple flushes to dispose waste properly. Pool is condemned by county. Bocci ball courts were in terrible shape. Shuffle courts were acceptable. The basketball and tennis court were locked, and reservation was needed to use. Exercise room had musky smell and equipment was substandard. There are many examples of full-time residence rv's and park models that looked like junkyards. My rv was next to a non-lived-in rv with an attacked room was something that belonged in a garbage dump. There were several examples of this through the park.
