I have stayed at both campgrounds in the Everglades and this was by far the best. The sites are not big but they seem very private because of all the natural barriers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, this campground is closer to some of the best hikes. While the mosquitoes are still present they are not as bad as they are in the other campground. Would stay here again.

Stayed two nights in out travel trailer. Everyone respected the quiet hours for the most part. Bugs were manageable in Feb. staff was great and very helpful. Highly recommend the Everglades water walk. You will see things you just don’t see on dry lands. Verizon cell service was good.

This is a beautiful place to camp. The sites are spacious and well laid out. There is a generator free tent campers only zone, which makes a huge difference if you are in a tent. We came in December and to our surprise there were actually very few mosquitos. |The National Parks Service holds ranger talks in the amphitheater several times a week, definitely worth attending when you are there.

Worst night sleep ever in decades of camping. Concessionaire doesn’t take any responsibility after 9 pm. Campers behind us were a super large group, cackled, screaming, dog barking, car alarm going off until 1:30 am. And they didn’t ask them to leave because “they paid their money”. I think keeping everyone up past 1 am forfeited whatever right they had to stay as surrounding campers paid their money too. Keep in mind the campground is mixed with tenters completely at the mercy of their neighbors to get a good night’s sleep. They literally only shut up after a park ranger came by. The next morning roughly 5 bags of beer cans were in the trash- probably not a coincidence.|| At least half the bath rooms were closed for maintenance making for a very long walk in the middle of the night- made me wonder if workers were simply too lazy to clean every day. Location is good and sites were surrounded by vegetation to give the appearance of privacy. ||Cancel the concessionaires contract and give it to someone who will enforce rules or send rangers to patrol the property. Have a camp host on site and on duty to go to versus leaving it to campers to get so fed up as to tie up an emergency number to get it taken care of.||I feel we and all the surrounding campers deserved a refund- entire family was exhausted the next day and it made it very hard to enjoy our visit that day. We traveled across half the nation to experience nature- not to sleep next to an all night party.||Campground has a lot of potential, but the number one expectation I have is to be able to sleep. You can accomplish this better in a Walmart parking lot surrounded by big rigs and RVers running generators all night.

It's our 2nd stay here but won't be our last. Love having hot showers and the stillness of no generators after 8pm. The stars put on a great show. One of our favorite stops each time. Staff is always kind and helpful.

The campground is wonderful. Quiet and well spaced campsites are enjoyable. Primitive camping, no electric, or water. There is a dump station for rvs at the exit to the park. There are plenty of hiking trails, a boat ramp, Everglades boat tours for both the bay side and inland side. Well worth the time and money.

Very nice campground. Each site seems separated well. I was in the tent area so real quiet. The toilets weren't working in the tent area si that was a bummer. Nice showers.

First time trying this campground as I usually just to go Flamingo's at the southernmost tip of NP. This location allows for easier explores to the bike/hike trails and a different ecosystems in the park. The amphitheater is also very nice and allows for projector imaging.
