Barefoot Gee's campsite

We loved our stay here for the total solar eclipse! We cut it short due to a storm coming in and wanted to avoid packing up in the rain, but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Mrs Linda and her husband were very kind and we loved the camp dog Andy. He is very well mannered and frequently came hang out to keep up company. And the goats were so funny! Sites were clean and nicely shaded, there was plenty of space between each for privacy, and the toilet/outhouse was very tidy. The lake is very close and a boat launch is just a minute away. Would highly recommend, and would stay again!

We had a great experience at barefoot Gees. Mrs Linda is very sweet and offered us help with anything we needed. There's beautiful sights to see and plenty of friendly animals to visit with.

Beautiful 10 acre property with primitive camping sites... They're also a tree farm & wildlife refuge. Host is very friendly, accommodating & responsive 😊 I really enjoyed my stay here & would highly recommend to others! It's just a 10 min drive to Dangerfield State Park too for more hiking opportunities.

Love it here. Quiet and beautiful. Got to feed the kid (baby goat).What a treat. My Host was awesome and informative. Will make this a yearly spot. Thanks

Beautiful camping spots next to a spring fed small creek. Linda was very friendly and accommodated our late arrival… the goats liked our morning coffee grounds a surprising amount!

I have not been camping here yet, but visited to collect tree samples for some research. The host was very kind and accommodating to our needs. The camping area is very nice; it is maintained but natural . I couldn't imagine a better place , and I look forward to camping here in the future.
