In spite of the fact that the proprietor has no control over the weather she does have control over the comfort of the paying lodgers comfort. Thank the God that be we were only staying there one night. There was NO heat on a night when the temperature was anywhere from 45-50 degrees. I have Reynauds and Fibromyalgia. With no heat and one light weight quilt on my bed I paid to have a night of feet like ice blocks and constant painful muscle contractions in my feet and legs. I like sleeping in a cool room snuggled under blankets but I do not like sleeping in a refrigerator with a lightweight quilt only. Be aware of temperatures when you book a stay at this so called JEWELL.

My sister's and I spent a night at this quaint house. Met many interesting people from other states and walks of life. Although the stairs were very narrow (it reminded me of my husbands old business) the decoration of this victorian home was done well. I only had the pleasure of meeting our hostess Teresa on arrival as she was kept very busy with her spiritual readings and participation in the sweat lodge. I hope a return visit to connect with her in more depth. Facility was clean and even in the shared bath on the 3rd floor (where our room was) was kept clean and well supplied. I would recommend this place.

A relaxing space with peaceful energy. I've stayed here with each visit to Lily Dale. Teresa is the perfect hostess-very welcoming and warm. I never feel like a guest in her house-more like I'm supposed to be there. It's just a wonderful loved and lived in home that she shares. Namaste...

I stayed for a week from.Aug 2016-September. At first, I was given room #5, which had a closet , AC, lovely dresser and small hutch and 2 chairs. It was cozy and comfortable. The stairway to the third floor is painfully narrow, so watch luggage, your head and your feet climbing and descending. The shared bathroom on the third floor was clean and efficient.||To finish the week, I transferred into Room #3, on the second floor--highly desirable----: a lake view, gorgeous views from the wndows and two spacious beds, plus an antique dressing table with mirror. Also , Room 3 boasts an interior sink, which is highly useful. The shared bathroom was directly across the hall.||Teresa, the owner/manager was delightful and very fair with house rules and what could be eaten on the porch, as well as food storage. Teresa is wonderfully welcoming to all who visit Lily Dale. She is a great manager, who keeps track of communication through a daily bulletin board on the front porch---announcing who is in what room, who is checking out and who is arriving, and their room assignments. Stay in a lake view room, if you can get one!

Yes, as one of the other reviewers mentioned, the buildings are old, the floors are squeaky and the bathrooms are shared amongst several rooms. But it isn't bad. Teresa, the owner, is very nice and helpful. And our room (#4) had a view of Cassadaga Lake, which was beautiful!||||Lily Dale itself is kind of a trip back to another century - you walk just about everywhere, and all the people you meet smile and say "Hi!"||||One thing to keep in mind is the price to get into Lily Dale: $10 per person. I wasn't expecting that.

We had a peaceful night stay. We didn't realize that Theresa was also our yoga teacher. She is an amazing hostess and yoga teacher. Clean, and comfortable. We did not eat there but the common kitchen and dining room were nice. Our favourite part was the porch. Would definitely go back.

Teresa offers a lovely room, clean common areas, and a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee porch includes a full size refrigerator to keep your food and complimentary coffee all day and night. I've made good friends from other guests every year I stay.

My favorite spiritual escape! A little bit of history within this rustic home. I've stayed here for many years while visiting Lily Dale. Teresa, the owner, is a wonderful hostess. Just walk out to the back of the house to the lake. Love this place.
