We had a great stay , beds were very comfortable. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We were able to return our rental car early had the shuttle take us to the airport in the morning which was really helpful for us trying to catch a 4am flight.

We just stayed one night on our trip from Kenai to the Chena Hot Springs. Grace, who was checking us in and also checking us out, was a pleasure. She is a valued employee who I hope will get a raise from this review. So many employees just go in and barely do their jobs anymore. Grace exceeded our expectations and is exactly the kind of employee you should value. The room was very clean, and no noise. I would stay there again.

My overall experience at the hotel was deeply disappointing. Upon check-in, I was assigned to room 404, but the overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals made it unbearable to stay in. I returned to the front desk and was reassigned to a first-floor room, only to find that the smoke alarm was incessantly chirping, likely due to a low battery. After a third request, I was moved to room 111. Despite being warned that the heater wasn’t working, I was too exhausted to continue switching rooms and chose to stay, figuring a cold room was better than the previous issues. I spent the night bundled in layers just to stay warm. The next day, I shared my dissatisfaction through a survey the hotel sent via email. Disappointingly, they have yet to respond, which speaks volumes about how this hotel is managed.

Grace was very helpful with one of our employees getting her room when it wasn’t clear which room was hers. Henry as usual was very helpful in getting excellent meals on the 3 stays over one week at the hotel. The hotel was very clean and warm. Convenient to good restaurants.

I thought we the Hilton property we couldn’t go wrong. $189 a night is what we were quoted which is spending for winter rates but by the time we checked in, it had gone up with bees and deposit to almost $250 a night. The front desk woman was breathing, heavy, making faces and all around rude at check-in. The next day was the same thing Even with different different people. Unfriendly staff who seemed annoyed about anything guest service related. My room smelled like smoke so they left the cold air on in an attempt to air it out, Iim assuming. Breakfast was $16 per person for warmish food. Omelettes are extra. The breakfast attendant was not friendly. We were told the pool was closed for cleaning and that it would take two hours all day later and pass checkout still. We were sent out in the rain to the Hilton next-door to use their pool, which is filthy & murky. However, the staff was friendlier at the Hilton next-door. Both properties are next to a Starbucks, a golden corral and a bear pot restaurant for dinner. The neighborhood is a high traffic one but feels safe. For the price, I would never stay here again, or recommend it.
