★★★★★We stayed at the Wild Alaska Inn for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Jan and Ela were suberb hosts. They are excellent cooks and we ate gourmet food while we were there. They created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, in which we were able to get to know the other guests and feel that we had made new friends by the time we left. Bicycles were provided for all their guests and as Gustavus is an extremely bicycle-friendly community, it was a great way to get around. We'd like to thank them for their amazing hospitality, the wonderfully interesting conversations, and for creating a great space for us and our kids, who we were visiting there.

★★★★★We had a really nice stay with Jan and Ela. They met us at the ferry then, in the morning, they transported us to our tour and then picked us up and drove us to the airport. Their place is in a beautiful wooded area with a very nice front porch. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Because they have so many bathrooms the shared bath was never a problem. And the food . . . Delicious! Make sure you sign up for dinner with them. Salmon chowder was incredible. Also recommend you request a stop at the liquor store en route to their accommodations to pick up a nice wine or whatever because everything there is a distance. Wonderful hosts.

★★★★★Due to bad weather our flight from Glacier Bay to Anchorage was canceled. My friends and I stayed at Wild Alaska Inn hosted by Jan and Ela. It is a wonderful place. The fireplace is very warm for a raining day. Jan and Ela are super friendly and gracious hosts. They are very resourceful and have area expertise. They went extra way to help us for our next flight. The meals are delicious, the conversation delight and books on the shelves interesting. I definitely recommend it and look forward to going back.

★★★★★Our family stayed with Jan and Ela and had a wonderful time . We loved the “ homey” atmosphere and the excellent food!! Jan gave us great local tips and was VERY accommodating when the ferry strike caused a change in our travel plans. He picked us up .. lent us bikes for exploring .. I could not say enough .. what a great host and great time!! We hope to return !

★★★★★BnB stays might not be for everyone as they tend to be more personable (some like the anonymity of a commercial establishment), I however love to stay at BnBs and the Wild Alaska Inn is among the best. My girlfriend and I chose this place by chance and are glad we did. The hosts are very nice and the rooms very clean... better than most hotels. The owners also have rental cars available and bikes. This is a great wilderness stay. Plenty of hiking and biking.

NillJanus and Ela are perfect hosts and provide an excellent B&B with many other benefits to explore Gustavus and Glacier Bay. They arranged our Glacier Bay tour, provided local travel needs including bikes. Their food was outstanding especially the dinner and their guests were bright and enjoyable. Janus is gifted as a photographer, sailor, construction engineer and navigator using the most up to date internet tools. I understand why so many folks recommend Wild Alaska Inn. Above all they are down to earth folks you would love to have in your neighborhood. Gustavus would be poorer without them.

★★★★★We stayed downstairs in the queen bedroom with private bath in August of this year. Our accommodations were so clean and well-appointed. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. Jan and Ela are so gracious, welcoming, and interesting. The meals--breakfast and dinner--were fresh and delcious but not overdone as we find in many B and B's. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had the best time. Make no mistake. This is not a luxury hotel. You get to see how real people live. But I am extremely picky, and I was super happy and felt totally safe here. We hope to go back and stay longer. Highly recommend this very special place!!!

★★★★★A great place to stay for those that enjoy meeting new people and gathering around the table to share meals, laughter, and experiences. The host and hostess have great background and stories to share. They were more than accommodating in meeting the needs of our group including transportation, bookings, meals, and local recommendations. Thank you Wild Alaska Inn.
