Captain's Choice Motel

Overall I would definitely say it’s a motel not a hotel but the rooms are clean and the views of the ocean and the harbor when you wake up are beautiful. More than that, they had great service and hospitality making it well worth the stay. Very accommodating even for late night arrivals with a friendly and helpful staff.

I loved our time in room 232!! Right on the end, our dogs were very comfy, good spots to walk them around and use the bathroom, Haines is such a beautiful place! Thank you Captain Choice for hosting us with a modern motel with great views and breakfast!! The coffee was amazing as well.

I love staying here! The rooms are great and clean, cozy, comfortable. Please never renovate them, keep the wood panelling going!!!

I love this place. The rooms are always clean, even if the decor is a bit dated. Staff is amazing. Incredible views.

Super clean room! Every thing looked and smelled brand new. We had a great view of the water and mountains from our room. Breakfast was included, those blueberry muffins are excellent 👌 We were able to rent one of their cars which allowed us to see much of haines including 6 bears and a ton of eagles. The staff is awesome, they picked us up from the fast ferry and also returned us to the ferry the next day.

Good location for foot travel along the main tourist streets of Haines. We parked our car out front and only went back to it for further trips outside of town. Rooms were clean and continental breakfast was as expected for the prices charged. Overall, I would stay there again.

Horrible place I was there on the off-season female manager was not very friendly she also sells drugs out of the hotel truthfully the worst place I've ever stayed the people that are giving it five star they're only there during the summer season come during the winter season it's a different story I would definitely not recommend this place I would go to Aspen down the road way more friendly people nicer hotel I give it less than a zero

This is the second time we rented a car from captain's choice. The cars are in great shape Although not brand new, which is not necessary. They do the job, and they travel the roads. The staff is very lovely to deal with.
