NillI recently stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, and I can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the incredible service and the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were absolutely fantastic! Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a tropical, laid-back vibe that made me feel like I was on vacation even in the middle of the city. But what really made my stay unforgettable was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. From the friendly check-in experience to the helpful recommendations for local dining and attractions, they truly made me feel like a valued guest. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. If you're looking for a hotel that combines comfort, style, and exceptional service, look no further than Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. I can't wait to come back!

NillWe had a great stay at this hotel in San Diego. It’s a beautiful, well-located hotel, close to the city and surrounded by interesting attractions and vibrant neighborhoods. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and well-appointed. The pool is superb, and having a restaurant in the hotel and a rooftop bar is a great convenience. The margaritas were excellent! The only downside is the parking, which is quite expensive at $65 USD per night. However, there is a private indoor parking lot just a five-minute walk away that costs four times less. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we highly recommend this hotel!

NillBeds and rooms are comfortable. Two bottles of complementary water in room is a plus. Outdoor pool. Really good gym compared to some other hotels. Bar attached to hotel. If you enjoy bars or partying or restaurants this is really a perfect location as its right in the Gaslamp district.

NillAfter reading reviews of other hotels in Gaslamp area, many of them mentioned how noisy they were. Just spent 4 nights at Margaritaville, and it was one of the quietest hotel stays ever! Rooms were super clean and cleaned daily, staff at desk and valet were awesome, and bartenders were some of the friendliest and most caring people anywhere. Super chill and laid back vibe… as most Margaritaville hotels we have stayed at are. Highly highly recommend this hotel! Great job by management and all employees!

★★★★Location, Location, Location. Right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Also easy access to public transit. My room was my favorite part of the hotel, the beds are comfy and I appreciate the tub/shower combo. Shoutout to Bertha at the front desk who accommodated my room request. Housekeeping also was great. Valet staff were also great including Area GM of valet Maria who helped in creating a great first impression of the hotel, special shoutout to Yeab also in valet for helping me find my Apple phone charger. My room was overlooking the pool and the 5 o'clock somewhere bar which could get noisy, but earplugs were available at the Front Desk and I took advantage. My only two complaints(and there minor) are that the bathroom sensor light in the guest room needs to be adjusted to not turn off when taking a bath. Each time I took a long bath over my three day stay the light would turn off in the middle in bath leaving me in the dark. And because its Margaritaville sometimes the smell near the elevator smelled strongly of someone or group of people lost control of their liquor. But overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

★★★★★I would highly recommend this hotel to people staying in the downtown San Diego area. The upgrades were extremely well done atheistically and with high quality. Love the Margaritaville theme - super fun and relaxing. I spent some time at the Margaritaville bar during their happy hour and it was extremely fun! The customer service was excellent - the bartenders were attentive and very helpful. Very enjoyable evening! ||I love my room - super well laid out and comfortable. The room kept with the theme of the hotel nicely without being too cheeky. I have to say that my room was the quietest hotel room ever! I did not hear anyone anywhere - it was crazy how quiet. I also have to say the lighting in the room was well thought out as well. I was there to work and sometimes the lighting is a challenge in hotel rooms - not this one! ||The location is awesome, and the area appeared safe and clean when I had to walk around outside the hotel. ||I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in downtown San Diego.

★★★★★We visited the Margaritaville hotel recently and every corner we turned we were greeted by stunning beach vibes. The attention to detail in this hotel is second to none. The rooms are spotless, bright and modern. It is in the perfect location and close to everything. We had lunch at the Lankshark restaurant and the food and service was 10/10. The Nachos are a must, the best I’ve ever had! I want to give a special thank you to our amazing waiter Rosay who was so attentive, friendly, warm, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. The staff really make this hotel feel like a home. I have 0 complaints, everything was just perfect!

NillStayed over Christmas. Restaurant, bar and coffee shop all closed without anyone at the hotel saying this was going to be the case. A heads up that a “resort” was going to be closed on Christmas Day would have been nice so we would have a chance to find some place else to eat. Valet is not efficient. No help with bags up to room or carts to use when leaving. Location is nice especially if you are looking for nightlife and places to eat. Rooms are small especially if you get one with two beds. There is a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. Shower and tub combo in bathroom but has glass doors. Very difficult if you travel with kids and need to do baths. Not very comfortable to do that. Definitely not a resort, pool area is nice but small and not much to offer unless drinking at the bar. Not my top choice for a family vacation. Overall expensive for what amenities they offer and don’t be fooled about their deluxe rooms with city views. We faced a parking lot.
