Nill5-star experience all around. Very accommodating no matter the time. Oscar at the front desk was extremely helpful, nice, and even gave us food and travel recommendations. Over the top service, and an over the top room.

NillStaying at the Keating Hotel is in the heart of the historic Gaslamp district; close to many clubs, places to eat, and public transportation. We knew what to expect by reading the reviews. We are very low maintenance and had everything we needed for our 9-night stay; the host made accessing and locating easy and checked in on us often. Many mention noise as an issue and ear plugs are provided, however, if you're unable to sleep through the sound from other rooms and loud music from the night-life, this may not be for you. Expect noise from 7:30p until 3:30a. We did not have a set schedule and discovered that having our TV volume up helped us somewhat drown out the noise. We were in the room only to sleep and spent a majority of our time checking out all the city had to offer. If you're looking for a low-cost place to keep your belongings, shower, can sleep through noise, and want easy access to night-life and public transportation, this is a great place for you! We enjoyed our stay.

NillI booked my stay with them via Airbnb. The rooms are not what are advertised, they’re very cold and uninviting. It feels like a prison cell/mental hospital room. The elevator smells like urine as well. I woke up to cockroaches in my room. I did contact the front desk and spoke to them when I left. They originally said they would refund me the cleaning fee I paid on Airbnb, then stated they would give me a full refund if I didn’t leave a review. This place is gross and I would never stay here again. I highly recommend never staying here at all. Worse place I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life.

NillSolid if you only care about the location. WiFi is trash. Room is okay. Priced about right. Super cheap for a reason. Hubby booked this through Airbnb. Personally think it’s worth just going to the Marriott though

NillAVOID AT ALL COSTS. These pictures on the website are completely fake. Someone reviewed these room as “fancy prison cells” and I couldn’t agree more. By the way: THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. They will advertise as one, but this is a property management company. An airbnb hustle. The very “security” at the door at night will say that to you. Front desk is only available from 9am-4pm which means that should you need any type of assistance after 4pm you are out of luck. I made the mistake of booking this place on a work trip and could not get any rest on the one night I spent there. This location is extremely loud, messy and dangerous. Club noise and rude people are all over the place at night until very VERY late, making it impossible to sleep or work. Wifi is spotty and the security at the door won’t move a muscle to help you with any questions you may have. They’re also VERY overpriced - you can find much better rates at more decent locations. Staying there was a mistake on my end but I learned my lesson.

NillI stayed at the hotel for 5 days and the experience was traumatising... To begin with, the manager Eren whispered in my ears that he would tickle my crumb if I was to complain about my sheets being full of white and gooey stains... I will not be staying at the keating ever again... Thanks to Eren, I see a therapist every other day.

NillRecently stayed at the Keating after booking a room through Airbnb. In the photos it looks alright, but the actual rooms are terrible. The room felt like an old jail cell, there was no privacy when taking a shower, no vents in the bathroom so the smell would linger for hours, the floors looked absolutely terrible, there was no real furniture besides the bed, and they gave us only enough shampoo and conditioner for one shower realistically. I recently found out that this hotel was featured in Gordon Ramsay's Hotel Hell, and after watching that episode, i can confirm that none of Gordon's redesigns of the Hotel stuck and they went back to the way things were before. There are better hotels in the area, unless their other rooms are much better, i would not recommend anyone stay here
