NillI recently stayed at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience with some highs and lows. Check-in went fairly smoothly, though there was some confusion about which credit card they were going to charge for the room—it took a bit to sort out, but it worked out in the end. The lobby has been nicely remodeled and looks fresh and inviting, which was a great first impression. The room itself showed its age a bit, with some wear and tear visible, but it was clean, comfortable, and orderly, which I appreciated. The view of the city from the room was lovely and added a nice touch to the stay. One downside was the room service situation—while it was advertised to start at 6 a.m., I called at that time and was told they wouldn’t take orders until 6:30. The restaurant didn’t open until after 7 a.m., which was inconvenient if you’re an early riser like me. On the positive side, when it snowed during my stay, the hotel staff was quick to clear the parking lot and ensure safe access to the building, which I really appreciated. There was a minor issue one evening when the heater went out, but the hotel responded promptly by sending a repairman who had it fixed quickly, so I can’t complain too much there. The price felt fair given the hotel’s age and the ongoing renovations, so I didn’t feel overcharged. The location is fantastic—easy access to transportation, shopping, and a variety of restaurants in the area, making it very convenient. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a stay, especially if you’re looking for a good location and don’t mind a hotel that’s a bit older but well-maintained.

NillThe Sheridan was the perfect place to rest our heads for the night. The room was very clean. I was actually super surprised by the quality of shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. I am quite picky, and these were fantastic. I was also pleased with the thoughtful fingernail file and Q-tip package that was left as well. The entire staff were so nice, especially the restaurant and bar staff! I would definitely recommend the Philly sandwich for dinner and the Greek scramble for breakfast if you order food - it's delicious! The view of Denver from the hotel was priceless. We'll definitely stay again!

NillI have stayed here before and thought it was older but nice. Today we had trouble parking as spots are blocked off by large construction equipment. The front desk was quick and let us know we construction would end by nighttime as not to disrupt sleep. BUT then we got to our floor. Exposed wires are running along the ceiling into rooms with devises that remind me of our home cameras inside the room. The bed has exposed box springs with lumpy looking bed and pealing head board. There is no sink in the bathroom. This room is definitely not what I experienced during my previous stays. The pool area is also closed. Maybe I just got lucky before. How is everyone giving them high marks? I'm very disappointed.

NillDefinitely not impressed. The hallways and elevator smelled like human feces upon arrival. We stayed on the 10th floor and the ice machine on floor 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 4 was out of service. Floor 5 fortunately was working. The walls were thin and I could hear my neighbors tv on very loudly in the early morning. I tried calling the front desk several times but either no one answered or the phone didn’t work. Lots of construction going on too. The pillows also lacked substance and were very flat even with 2. The staff was very nice though which is why this isn’t a 1 star review.

NillShout out to the crew who took care of the Clown crew last week! You all were so nice and accommodating! Special thanks to Theodore at the front desk for your personalbility and care in helping me find my way around the hotel! Abdul was very curious and a great server for our banquet, and I know there are plenty more to thank! The staff was amazing 👏🏽 🤩, Love Giddy Giddy Gumdrops, Colorado Clown Alley and COAI!

★★★★★Positive: It?s a nice hotel. Nice rooms. Negative: They won?t clean the room unless you ask them to. I?ve never had this experience before. My room went several days without being cleaned.

NillThis place was awful. I strongly recommend waiting until the remodel is finished and the staff has been properly trained before booking a stay here. The Positive: The bed was large and comfortable. The Negatives: The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. They didn’t greet or acknowledge guests and seemed more interested in socializing in the restaurant. Upon check-in, the staff member was clueless, providing incorrect information about the club lounge hours and barely paying attention as she was busy talking on the phone. Cleanliness was a major issue. A guest's dog pooped on the entrance floor mats, leaving stains that remained there for the entire five days of our stay. Glassware in both the lounge and our room was filthy, with lipstick stains and crusted food still visible. The food quality was poor. Fried cheese curds as a dinner option felt extremely limited, especially when other hotels offer a variety of hot dishes, salads, and cheese and crackers. Hopefully, the remodel will bring improvements to the menu. Maintenance was subpar. The handle of our shower door fell off during our stay, adding to the overall sense of neglect. The gym in three hotel rooms was awkward, especially with a carpeted floor for yoga. While the pool being closed was noted on the website, none of these other inconveniences were disclosed. I can not recommend this hotel in its current state.

NillUnfortunately, my experience at Hyatt Place was disappointing. While the hotel is located in a great area, the service left a lot to be desired. The breakfast staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. When I asked for cream cheese, I was told, 'You finished it all yesterday, so there’s none left today,' which is an unacceptable and unprofessional response, especially since I paid for a complete experience. Additionally, the toilet in our room was broken, and while they quickly moved us to another room, it was an inconvenience that could have been avoided with better maintenance. Overall, while the location is excellent, the lack of professionalism and basic amenities makes it hard to recommend this hotel. I expected much better from a Hyatt property.
