Sleep Inn Savannah Midtown

We have had possibly our worst travel experience with this hotel. After booking through hotels.com, we arrived to paper signs on the door stating no vacancy. We were not worried as we already had a reservation. When we went to the front desk, we were told there were no rooms available. The agent at the desk looked up our name, told us they had a reservation, but no room available and we'd need to contact hotels.com. We sat in the lobby to do so and they told us they would try to contact the front desk to confirm this. After holding with them for some time, they told us the hotel was not answering the phone after repeated attempts. We went back to the front desk where the agent told us her internet was down and that's why she couldn't receive phone calls. She also told us that she would not be able to give us any documentation saying they had no room for us, even after we insisted. She then turned several more people away behind us who also had confirmed reservations. Hotels.com and myself have tried repeatedly over the past month to call this hotel and they have never, not once, answered to confirm that they did not give us the room we paid for. I am thoroughly disappointed in the fraudulent activity of this establishment, allowing rooms to be booked and not providing the rooms to customers, then further refusing to answer their phones in order for customers to receive a refund. I wish I had read the reviews closer before I had booked this despicable location.

They didn't take my 3rd party booking (conveniently during St Patty's). I've always used 3rd party booking with them. The lady at the counter got on the phone arguing with them not trying to work with them finding my reservation. She immediately jumped to trying to get them to refund my money and trying to force me to buy at a higher rate. I've always booked through a 3rd party at their hotel. Honestly. After this experience. They Will be the LAST RESORT when i visit Savannah.

Had an amazing stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms, and the perfect location. Will definitely be returning soon. I also spoke with the General Manager, April Gordon. I had a small request and she didn’t hesitate to accommodate me. Thank you for your kindness Mrs. Gordon.

Several guest complained about the TV not working at all I for one was asked to let her know. She came out and April the Mgr was the same person who didn’t bother to put out any juice until after I asked for orange juice. Breakfast is included in the price 106$ total ok fine. The person April came out and I never asked for any discount for anything. Straight out of her mouth she says I am not going to refund you for the room. I plainly said I never asked you for a refund. She then stated is there anything else? I asked her for the number for corporate and she said 1 800…the front desk can give it to you and then walked away. Yes she was blatantly assuming I wanted s refund I had not asked for. Yes she was lazy to not put a smile on her face to come out to the dining room to assist me in any way possible with the service package promised and pay in advance for not even try to accommodate me. Such a poor hospitality. Most like its franchised since she did not know the number to corporate. It’s quite sad

Front desk staff was very professional. Bro was fabulous! She made my son and I feel so very welcome and invited. Always greeted us with a warm smile and very kind words. I would most definitely come a stay at this hotel again and recommend this hotel to any and everyone . Quan was fabulous! He was professional and also made us feel comfortable and safe as well as welcome. Thank you Quan and Bri !!

The room was fine. There was a small spider on one of the beds. The room was clean and it was nice that they had lvp flooring. There is no elevator and the stairs were carpeted and really dirty. You could hear everything outside the room. The next door room was really loud and had a baby. I don't think the walls had insulation at all.

I will NEVER stay here ever again. The housekeeping staff is very disrespectful and they steal from guest rooms and also like to enter when the do not disturb sign is clearly visible. The new staff at this hotel are making the sleep inn brand look very bad rooms are in poor condition with rain water leaking through closed windows and mold on ceiling with missing smoke detectors and the list goes on. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Positive: Staff was wonderful Negative: There were clothes from previous person under some furniture and the mattress had a weird smell underneath. Window didn't lock either but it was good otherwise.
