I had a wonderful experience at Schweitzer Ski Resort, and I want to give a special shoutout to Gaylen and Kelsey. Gaylen at the reception was incredibly helpful, providing me with all the information I needed and making sure I got settled in comfortably. Kelsey, who served me at the Crow's Bench restaurant, was fantastic as well great service and delicious food and drinks. On top of that, the skiing was absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend

My husband and I recently stayed at Schweitzer for our anniversary weekend, and while we enjoyed the property and everything else about our stay, our check-in experience was absolutely terrible and left a really sour first impression. When I arrived, I simply asked about the possibility of an early check-in. The man at the front desk, Kelly, barely acknowledged me and told me he was working on something and I’d need to wait. I patiently did so. When I asked again, hoping for a 2:00 check-in (knowing regular check-in was at 4:00), he cut me off and repeated, “Check-in is at 4:00,” with zero friendliness or effort to help. He said he could maybe call me if housekeeping cleared something, but it was clear he couldn’t be bothered and was completely dismissive. He just stared at me like I was inconveniencing him. I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was—especially being the first face guests see upon arrival. I told him I felt he was being rude, and he responded by calling me a jerk. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially at a place like Schweitzer where guests are paying good money to relax and celebrate special occasions. Schweitzer, you can do better—especially with the person you have welcoming guests.

The rooms were really big, comfortable and with a nice view. Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was amazing and helpful. The food in the restaurant was incredible, especially the steal head. We really enjoyed our stay. | On the slopes the grooming was Incredible as well.

This lodge has so many good features. The views from the room and from the hot tub were awesome. We utilize the coworker and the exercise room and found them helpful and well equipped. The front desk people were friendly and helpful.Crows bench served very good food. Definitely recommend this lodging for its location.

Leaving 1 star only because guest and employee safety is paramount & this did not pass the vibe check whatsoever. It would be cool if there were hotel staff besides 1 security guard to deal with the 300lb drunk dude throwing an adult temper tantrum because of the hot tub closing for the night. Pretty sure he broke the elevator by punching it as well, so there’s that. Had to listen to cussing in the hallway for about an hour while our young kids are in the room trying to sleep. The cops in Sandpoint are 30 minutes away so they’re not going to do anything unless someone is dying. Nonetheless, I would hire more staff to mitigate risk because this seems like a liability waiting to happen. Started at 11:20 pm. It’s currently 1:15 in the morning and I can hear stuff going on below us right as I’m typing this. Doesn’t sound good. Beautiful hotel, but pure lack of organization. I’d rather stay in an outdated hotel or an air bnb that has better cleanliness and organization.

Our room was clean and had the best view! I super appreciated the extra coffees and cozy hangout spaces. The glass room was perfect to watch the sunset and sunrise. We have enjoyed several stay-cations here and i think it’s a perfect place for a slow, quiet weekend.

Celebrated our Anniversary with a night at the Humbird. Beautiful clean room with an amazing view of Lake Pend Oreille. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be returning!
