Location is prime for walking downtown. Room and included amenities were great. Appreciated the delicious coffee you provide. Absolutely love the filtered water station available right outside our room. Cocktails and restaurant food were very good with awesome service. The pool area was nice and relaxing early in the morning. Was shocked to have daily cleaning of room, and thrilled. We are making the voco our go to hotel for our Chicago visits.

The view from the restaurant and room are unbeatable. It’s a nice hotel with comfortable rooms and large open dining area. Friendly staff in the restaurant. In our room the bathroom had a plexiglass top over a metal base. It looked like it had rusted underneath or clouded, which made it look like it had not been cleaned. We also were given two towels despite booking a room for three people. That was remedied and the rest of the room was very clean, the beds super comfy. The walls seem very thin. I could hear my noisy neighbors until quite late. We had dinner. Two of the meals were delicious. Risotto quite expensive and not worth it. Excellent service. Excellent service at breakfast. If you have a car, get the parking package. Parking rates are ridiculous. Despite all I’d like stay again.

Be prepared to be confused! But its not that bad once you get a hold of things. Voco and Holiday Inn are literally in the same place! Voco rooms are on the higher floors while Holiday Inn are on lower floors. So you walk in and greeted by some wonderful staff! We had an amazing clerk who checked us in and acknowledged my status. You get these snack/drink tickets as your amenities which is great! The little treat they give you is yummy! You then walk down the hall to the elevator to the 15th floor. That's where the 24hr market is located to use your drink/snack ticket. Then you walk all the way down to the other side to catch another elevator to your room! This place is huge! The rooms were huge and our views was the best! We found a few things that were dirty or trash, but we were just happy to find a comfortable bed. The coolest thing about this place was their water filler. You can get ambient water, sparkling water, cold, hot...it was great! Checking out was quick off your phone. They hold your luggage on the 15th floor at that desk. Its a easy walk around once you know your location and surroundings! We didn't use the indoor pool but looked fun! I highly recommend this place! The staff all have been great!

This is the third time (and the third year in a row) to stay at this hotel and was probably the least favorable check-in experience. When I arrived at the check-in booth a little after 11am, I was told that my room was not ready, that it was unclear when it would be ready, and that I was offered to receive a call when ready. I had made a reservation roughly 30 days before arrival. When I returned to the check-in booth more than two hours later, the same staff who told me this had completely forgot about my reservation and searched an available room anew. I never received a call. When I mentioned about the promise to make a call, the staff did not acknowledge it and even yawned during my check-in process. The staff did not issue an apology nor acknowledge a mistake. My impression was that the staff paid very little attention to my reservation. Other aspects of the stay were as usual. Housekeeping has always been great at this hotel and, as previously, kept the room impeccable throughout the stay. I normally make no additional or special demands, so my interactions with the hotel staff are confined at check-in/-out times. When my experience on those occasions is not smooth, my overall impression with the hotel tends to be poor.

!st time staying in Voco part of the hotel complex, after earlier stays at the Holiday Inn part. Rooms seem exactly the same with only a few cosmetic differences. Voco rooms take up the top floors I believe but views are nice from both. Bathrooms in Voco have Apotheke toiletries instead of Dove, which is a nice little touch. Did not use pool or restaurant, but exercise room was spacious, clean, and adequately equipped for a basic workout. Common areas of hotel as well as room were very clean and in good shape. Check-in person (Amy) was very welcoming and pleasant, always appreciated. Location is very central, close to transport options, and has great access to the Riverwalk trail.

First time staying at a Voco hotel. Supposed to be more boutique than the adjoining Holiday Inn, but I've never stayed at HI so can't compare. The room itself was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. In my opinion, there are 2 areas that need improvement. One is the food. Although it's good, there is no restaurant or buffet on site (the food is from the hotel shop located on the 15th floor). If you stay for an extended period, the options become limited. The second, and more importantly, is cleaning. There was a washcloth in the shower from the previous stay. In the morning with the sun shining in the room, I noticed all the dust everywhere and realized the room was not cleaned thoroughly. Also, the customer in the room beside me placed used glasses on the floor outside the room, which is common. However, they remained there for over 2 days. I'm a loyal IHG member and always enjoy satisfying stays at their hotels. In this case, I would stay at a different hotel since the Holiday Inn on the same property would probably be the same cleanliness-wise.

The décor is Beautiful. Enjoyed sitting in the Lounge & watching the city & river out the wall of Windows. The Views were Awesome from our Room as well. I recommend the 23rd Floor rooms. truly breathtaking. The Comfortable Beds were the best I have experience & I travel a lot. We had a King & were tempted to stay there all day. We had the Breakfast buffet & all I can say is it was high quality and delicious! Huge selection. Great Staff. We will be back!

The front desk did a great job at welcoming us and getting us settled. I was, however, disappointed when there was a hot water issue and the paper thin walls that contributed to my son and I being kept up all night. The TV would only show the menu. If you went to a Chanel, the screen was black. We did eat at the restaurant and the meal and service was nice. But when it comes to using a hotel for sleep and to get ready- this was not the place.
