The Langham, Chicago

Getting married at the Langham was a fantastic experience! Emily and the team were extremely responsive and helpful with the entire planning process. The food was absolutely incredible for cocktail hour and dinner, and the service team was very friendly and professional. Our only challenge in working with the Langham was that they only have very limited in-house decor and only one option for in-house tables and chairs. We ended up renting chairs, drapery, floor coverings, stage coverings, and stairs from other vendors, which increased our total cost. Overall, the Langham was a wonderful place to get married! We had lots of fun and really enjoyed the location being right downtown so that we had a view of the river and the city all night!

My husband and I recently had a staycation at The Langham for our wedding annivesary. I wish I could give the hotel more than five stars, because we had such an incredible experience! Every single employee we encountered was extremely kind and helpful. A special shout out goes to Marcus at the the front desk, as he made sure that our stay was extra special and even sent us a bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Marcus, thank you for encouraging us to turn off our "hospitality brains" and fully relax during our stay! Our room on the 12th floor was spacious, and the bed was a dream. We ended up renting out the "Cinema Room" on the same floor to watch one of our favorite shows, and the room came equipped with plenty of delicious snacks for us to enjoy. Our only regret is that we didn't have time to utilize the spa services, however, we do plan on doing so in the future!

First time staying at the Langham. There was much excitement to stay here since we have stayed at the Peninsula Hotel many time before. Overall, the stay was great. There were a few things that we noticed that differ from the peninsula. The doormen did not always greet/welcome you the same way, the rooms are nice but the bed was very firm and fairly uncomfortable, there were mini blinds zip tied to the rail, strange approach. There is no 24 hour room service (ends at 11pm) and there is no phone in the bathroom - which honestly no one uses anyway. Housekeeping, pool and locker rooms, and breakfast were amazing and attentive to details. Overall, it was good but there is some details to be desired.

The entire staff was friendly and attentive. I had a wonderful experience. The room was very nice. The sauna was great. I would love to stay again. It's in the middle of downtown Chicago and right by the river. Nice view. Complimentary breakfast was good as well. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. 😊

Let me start by saying this locations upkeep is decent. The bed was comfortable and room is very large with a tub which is amazing. Now the main issues of why I will not repeat this experience anytime soon is the following: 1. The room has no air flowing once all the light are off (or at least the one I was in) 2. The lavender scented pillow I ordered barely smelled of lavender 3. The room is not soundproof to the hallway. There was a conference that let out right in front of my room, a noisy dog they barked constantly and children running up and down. It was annoying 4. Ordered a grilled cheese and they did not double check if I wanted the tomato paste that came o it which just ruined it for me Now please know i reported these items to the front desk the next morning and they removed some money off the cost of the night. So customer service is excellent I would say. So with that said I do not plan to return to this location. Once again it was my experience but someone else’s might be better. I just felt the cost was not equivalent for the experience.

My family recently stayed at the Langham, Chicago. Fantastic hotel! Staff in every department were very friendly and helpful. The amenities are outstanding! Location is perfect for the Downtown area. Used the Club Lounge, and it was worth the money. Great hotel!

Everything here exceeded expectations. Amazing views, great location, and peaceful rooms that you look forward to coming back to. The best part, though, was the people who work here. They elevated every experience we had with thoughtful details in every aspect of our stay. The club staff especially went above and beyond treating guests like they were special and making a great memory for us.

The Langham was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff was lovely and were very attentive to the guests. Patrick Taylor was helpful, inviting, and always had a positive energy! All of the staff in the clubhouse was great and took the time to remember your names and assist you. Will definitely be back as it is great all around!
