The Ivy Hotel

No advertised free breakfast. None of the outlets in my room worked. The automatic shade system was out-of-order. No working bar. Only 2 elevators, one of which was occupied by construction crews and used as their dedicated freight elevator. Guests had to wait 20-30min for one to get down to the lobby. Staff was primarily unhelpful. Never spoke English among themselves, not even in front of the guests. Otherwise, rooms were cleaned timely, and were rather comfortable. The design elements were appreciated, the King Suite had a nice layout, but lacked the advertised City View. 🤨😕

I had a wonderful stay at The Ivy Hotel. The service was fantastic, and I especially wanted to shout out Bryan in room service. He was very helpful and responded to my request for room slippers within a few minutes. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was a little noisy since it was near the elevator. The location was amazing, right next to the Magnificent Mile. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located near the magnificent mile. The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar, pool, or spa nor do they offer room service. Looks like there used to be a bar in the lobby, but they no longer use it. However, there are several restaurants nearby within two blocks. Very disappointed that couldn’t get a late check out even though I never saw one other customer in the hotel the three days I was there. They wanted to charge me $30 an hour to stay past 12 o’clock. I was told by one Desk clerk that they could call a cab for me when it was time to leave for the train station only to be told by the second desk and Call for a taxi, but could turn on a light. I don’t know if these are new people working there, but it was very frustrating. The rooms were nice. My only complaint has to do with the misinformation from The employees makes my business trip. They’re very frustrating. If you are a business person doing business at the Medical Center, I would caution you about the late checkout. But if you’re just on vacation, it may be the hotel for you.

We reserved two rooms and were really happy with both! Clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was right between Christmas and New Year's, and the experience was amazing. The location is simply unbeatable. We will definitely stay here on future visits!!

It’s an average hotel. Bed is low to the floor. There is no gym. Parking is $59 a day. Heater took 20 minutes to cut on. I didn’t read hotel amenities this one time and let my bf choose. So most of those things are kind of my fault. I was interested in this property because of the rooftop bar and lounge and the 1st floor bar and lounge which were both Closed. You have to pay for parking everywhere you go. I think it would be been a better choice to find a hotel|In the city. We went to city all 3 days. There’s more to see and do.

The room was freezing when we checked in and we were informed there was no maintenance on site at the time and they could not move our room. I have asthma and cannot do extreme temperatures, they didn’t care. We were finally moved the next night after midnight. We were awaken to a call telling us we need to check out. I explained we didn’t get moved until after midnight and they didn’t care but finally gave us an extra hour. When we complained about what happened with the rooms the response was letting us check out late was enough concession for our inconvenience. We will NEVER stay at that hotel again they already lack the amenities of other hotels like a restaurant and room service so the customer service should be top tier. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I was impressed at the decor and service. I had an issue with my room. But the ladies handled it promptly and efficiently. No complaints really. The view from my room wasn't great, but I didn't get the room for a view. The heat vents creak and crack a bit much. But other than that, great place to stay

Terrible night. The room next to us was rented out to professionell sex workers. Several times the same noisy Performance!!! And always the same program of moaning and screaming in such a sound level that you wake up when a sleep. ||Be aware when you travel with children. ||More concerning, we tried to get a room next door with our grandparents but were told this is not possible. Only to find out about this houerly sex hotel. Never again...
