Staybridge Suites Cedar Rapids North, an IHG Hotel

We had some issues with the room being ready, despite checking in an hour and a half after the check in time. Hours later, I was waiting in line to purchase a drink and the couple ahead of me were checking in and ended up walking into the room that they were assigned, and it was already occupied. Other than that, the night went off without a hitch. The pool was great, and the kids had a great time! Breakfast was exceptional. Staff was visibly stressed however very kind.

This hotel is amazing! From the friendly front desk staff to the amazing breakfast (shout out for bacon and fresh fruit as well as waffles) I was so relaxed. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the room set up made it so I didn't hear the hallway or outside traffic when sleeping. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area, and would recommend to others as well.

We were greeted by staff member: Takaya with a warm welcome to the property! The main check in area is very clean & professionally styled. The breakfast area has a large array of healthy & delicious food items ranging from omelettes and bacon, bagels, yogurt with a fruit bar and more! The coffee was delicious as well. The suite we stayed in was meticulously styled and felt very upscale. The beds were amazing and the pillows were fantastic! I would love to come back and stay here again in Cedar Rapids!

The people who work here were great. The rooms cleanliness was ok- cobwebs in the corners and underneath furniture. The hardest part was the noise. The hotel is next to a major highway and train track so we assumed it would have solid windows to help with the noise- it felt like a window was open it was so loud. We even checked the windows to be sure. Plus the blackout shades don’t do much when the don’t cover the full window.

It's economical and clean with a good breakfast. There were multiple issues with key cards working, bathroom door didn't latch and the didn't shovel sidewalks when it snowed. The pool return had 'dirt' on the bottom of the pool and the towel return had ants crawling all over it.

I'm sure the place doesn't want me chiming in on my stay but it was rough. Ants in the bathroom on the third floor, vomit in the pool, uncleared icy handicapped spaces and sidewalks, drunk guys wandering the halls at any late hours. The front desk workers seemed nice enough and friendly, willing to help a guy out. But overall I was very disappointed in the premises.

Slight delay at check in but staff was communicating throughout and offered my kids free snack and drink. Great room with comfy bed. Enjoyed stay as a whole. Delay in access to pool but again stay communicated throughout until pool opened next day.

My room was wonderful. Very cozy and comfortable with an incredible bed / bedding. The staff at the front desk was great, even the cleaning lady that I met in the elevator was sweet and talkative.
