Quality Inn I-70 Near Kansas Speedway

Two stars is more than fair. Decent priced rooms, but old and not well maintained. The pool was out, and there was no discount on the rate price for that unknown inconvenience. Poor communication with management staff. Overall, I would not stay here again. But if you’re in a pinch, it’s not awful.

The back door was just left open with the dead bolt holding the door against the frame. Then you need a key card to get in AND out of the stairwell and the card that was given to me did not open the stairwell. Finally I get the fkhd behind the counter to make me a new key to work for the stairs. I get to the top of the stairs and the new key will not let me out of the stairwell on my floor. Do not stay here because I'm certain it is a front for something other than being just a "hotel"

I flew into Kansas City for work and spent a few nights at the Quality Inn and Suites. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. As my employer extended my stay the manager Ankur Patel worked with me on the room deposit and placed me in much nicer rooms.

The room was very clean. The amenities were good. The clerk at the counter was very friendly. And free breakfast after 6:30 a.m.

Horrible staff. I will never stay at this hotel ever again. Staff is prejudice towards customers, rude and disrespectful. Staff lied and said I was smoking in the room and then said they just smelled smoke so I can't have my $100 security deposit back. I literally called every day asking about my deposit and they kept saying wait 5-7 business days. On the 7 business day they tried to say I was smoking in the room

It’s a Quality Inn. Not much Quality about it to say the least. $100 surprise deposit. They double booked me and wouldn’t let me cancel one of the rooms. Room was super small and cramped. Outdated.

Got charged $320 plus a $100 deposit for a $120 room. Breakfast was subpar, pretty much what you'd expect of hotel food except most of it was stale. Either they didn't keep up with refilling the waffle batter or the dispenser was clogged/uncleaned because the batter took ages to dispense. Once it's cooked though the waffles are pretty good. TV remote had no batteries in it and even then didn't work. Got another TV remote and that one didn't work either. Decided to just watch on my phone. No real air flow in the room so it was hard to sleep. Ended up arranging the furniture into a makeshift bed and napping in front of the AC unit until I cooled down enough to consider the bed. Cockroaches and crickets in the room I stayed in. At least 1 dead spider on the floor when we got there. Bathtub was stained. Pool was pitifully small and freezing cold. Hot tub was decent though. Most of the staff spoke only Spanish or broken English, with the exception of a few at the front desk. Overall not... great, but not a seedy motel at least. Just not what I expected for the rate we got charged for.

Check in was okay. Got into the room, cold water was NOT available. Neither in the shower or our hot tub! When I spoke to the front lobby, they insinuated it was something I did despite me showing a whole video of me trying the cold water.
