The Njord

My husband is Norwegian and loved the theme for the rooms! Superb decor, wonderful views over the lake and a good spot to watch the water from. Extremely clean, like literally nothing from dust to smudges ANYWHERE. Perfect privacy blinds for the evening, and absolutely loved the fireplace! (It changes colors?!) I definitely recommend this place to anyone, the private parking off street is a major plus too. I think my only complaint would be comment cards so I could write my review for you in person as well!❤️

The Njord is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable places to stay in Duluth, Minnesota. Its prime location, right next to all the action and the lake walk, is simply amazing! The rooms are stunning, and our stay truly felt like a piece of Duluth paradise. Waking up to the view of the lake is unbeatable. I highly recommend The Njord for your Duluth vacation—once you stay here, it will be hard to choose anywhere else. 10/10!

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Njord this week. The Odin apartment marries luxury with cozy comfort. Tons of space, a fully equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms with amenities like a soaking tub. The design and decor are thoughtful and cohesive. Enjoy the electric fireplaces if you can pull your eyes away from the fantastic picture window views of Lake Superior, Canal Park and the Lift Bridge. The location is fantastic. We literally parked our car for two days and walked to dinners, shopping and appointments. This stay was a treat to ourselves.

A 5 Star Stay Gorgeous view, excellent location, and very responsive host. Couldn't have asked for more. Great location with stunning views. We watched sailboats and thousand foot ships right from our window. Unimpeded view of the lift bridge. Relaxing space with plenty of room to get comfortable and enjoy the view. In unit laundry was a nice bonus. The location can't be beat, it rivals canal park. Ice cream, restaurants, and bars within steps outside the front door. Access to the lake walk is very close by. We would highly recommend staying at the Njord. We are already planning our next stay.

Our family stayed in Odin, the 2BR lower unit with The Njord with its large windows providing impressive views of Lake Superior and Canal Park. The Njord is tastefully remodeled with modern amenities while being respectful to the historical character of the property and neighborhood. Within a 2 block walk we were able to find plenty of entertainment and food & drink options....Fitgers is right next door as is the Portland Malt Company. A block away we enjoyed a happy hour and live music at Sir Benedicts and a delicious italian meal at Va Bene. Superior St is an easy walk (even with kids!) with even more shopping, pubs and entertainment options. The Njord is a must experience type of property and you will most certainly enjoy your stay there!

I am writing this review from Freya. We are listening to the waves and watch ships while sipping coffee from Yellow Bike Coffee (which is next door at Fitgers). So relaxing!! Rental was beautiful . We appreciate the off street parking. Kitchen looks like it has everything we would need (we did not cook). My only regret is not staying another night.

Stayed at the 1br Thor unit at the Njörd and it was phenomenal. The views alone (see pics) are worth it! It's a 1 min walk to the Portland Malt Shoppe, parks and boardwalk (18 min walk to Canal Park). Off street parking also! Interior was super tasteful with Wifi, TV's in living room and bedroom, air conditioning units, heat and modern faux fireplace. Dillon, the property manager was amazing and super responsive. If you have a larger party you can combine the three units (or any combo of what is available). HIGHLY recommended.

The Njord has to be the most beautiful place to stay in Duluth! I was blown away by not just the views, but the interior as well. It is almost impossible to beat sitting by the fire while having the best view of Lake Superior possible. The Njord is a must stay in Duluth.
