Holiday Inn Express Rochester - Greece, an IHG Hotel

Terrible experience staying here. I was here one night and had to file a noise complaint however I could've filed several (multiple rooms up from midnight to 3am, at a certain point you just give up), and due to the nature of the disturbances, I did not feel safe and barely got any sleep. The room's phone wouldn't let me call guest services so I had to find the hotel's information online and call through my cell phone. When I finally spoke with guest services, they were initially helpful however the next morning when I was checking out at reception they didn't ask how my stay was, and at that point I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. TL;DR I would recommend going anywhere but here.

Looks like a much older hotel was remodeled years ago. Could use a refresh. That wasn't an issue though. What was, the shower.. While the water pressure was good in the shower the head cut it down to a trickle. It doesn't seem there is any sound proofing material anywhere in the building. You can easily hear someone on the phone from your room or in the hallway. Normal level conversations are easy to hear. Unless you simply can't use the stairs do not use the elevator. Aside from being slow it just doesn't seem completely safe. I heard sounds I have not heard before riding in an elevator. Just didn't seem very safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. They simply work in a place that is in need of some repairs and remodeling. On my next visit I'll be looking for a different hotel to stay at

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows were standard, no issues with them. Location was perfect for everything we planned to do in Rochester and the surrounding area. Staff was friendly and check in/out were a breeze. The only issue we had was the tub faucet was not fully attached to the wall and the water pressure for the shower was weak, but this did not prevent us from being able to shower (no issues with the water temperature).

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival; the check-in process was quick and was able to get up to my room rather quickly. The room was very clean - plenty of towels, soaps, etc. Great experience overall. Complimentary breakfast was very good, with many items to choose from.

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was very nice…roomy, clean, good tv, toiletries, water pressure, bedding. There was only one problem. There was a putrid smell. I complained when returning to the hotel after dinner and the staff member gave me a spray to spray onto the carpet. She said it would neutralize the smell which is from the plumbing. It helped a bit and we were able to sleep. In the morning, we both showered and went to breakfast. Upon our return this horrible smell was overwhelming to the point if I didn’t leave, I would have vomitted. I will not be able to stay here again.

Had a pleasant stay. Staff was excellent. Nice hot breakfast items. Eggs, pancakes, sausage and turkey patties and my favorite, sausage gravy and warm biscuits. Juices, milk, coffee, etc. If you can't find a good breakfast choice.... sleep in.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it has been renovated since our last which made it much nicer. The room was clean overall, and had a modern look and feel. Breakfast is provided which saves time going somewhere to get it.

Room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. The staff was friendly and polite. The hotel was easy to find and easy to access. We enjoyed our stay with you. Thank you!
