★★★★★We stayed in a 2 queen room at this hotel when in Cleveland for a show at House of Blues. Valet parking was busy when we arrived just after 4, but was quick and easy nonetheless. Check-in was also quick and easy, and our room was clean and comfortable. Loved the high ceilings and hardwood floors! The hotel is in an historic bank building so the building is ornate and beautiful, and while the elevators were very slow, we didn’t have any issues. Super convenient to walk to House of Blues—maybe a 5 minute walk, if that. We could hear sirens in our room when we returned after the show and we could occasionally hear voices from the room next door, but neither stopped me from getting a good night’s rest. Breakfast in the morning was the usual hotel breakfast spread, and the lady working the breakfast area was friendly and helpful. Will consider next time we need to stay in downtown Cleveland!

NillThe building is amazing! Great location, could walk everywhere we needed to go. Took the red line to and from the airport. The breakfast attendant was so friendly! And Becky at the front desk was also really nice! The only complaint was that our room was on the street side and it was loud. Not even due to traffic or normal street noise but the I heart radio station blasting talk radio all night and all day! We could hear it on the 10th floor! So I would recommend asking to stay not on the street side

★When comparing this particular Holiday Inn to others, several issues stand out, particularly regarding the room conditions and maintenance. Here's a breakdown of the concerns: Bed and Pillow Smell: One of the most noticeable issues was the unpleasant odor coming from the bed and pillows. Instead of the fresh, clean scent typically associated with hotel linens, there was a musty or stale smell. This could indicate that the bedding wasn't properly laundered or had been stored in a damp environment. Such odors can significantly impact the comfort and overall experience of staying at the hotel. Sink Clogged: The sink in the room was clogged, which is a clear sign of poor maintenance. A clogged sink can be inconvenient for guests, especially when trying to wash hands, brush teeth, or perform other basic tasks. It also raises concerns about the hotel's attention to detail and their commitment to ensuring that all facilities are in proper working order. General maintenance and cleanliness: Beyond the specific issues with the bed, pillows, and sink, the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the room seemed subpar compared to other Holiday Inn locations. This could include things like worn-out furniture, stained carpets, or dusty surfaces. These issues collectively contribute to a less enjoyable stay and can make the hotel feel less welcoming. In summary, this particular Holiday Inn fell short in several key areas, including the cleanliness and comfort of the bedding, the functionality of the bathroom sink, and overall room maintenance. These issues detract from the overall guest experience and make it less favorable compared to other Holiday Inn properties.

★★★★★The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was hot and featured a variety of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. Instead of using the valet parking for $50, we parked in the PNC Bank parking garage 1/2 a block away for $13. Both Progressive Field and Rocket Arena are about 2 blocks away. We will definitely stay here when in town for games in the future. |

NillWorst Holiday Inn exp. location I've ever stayed.. Where to begin.. wasn't long ago since me and my friends and I stayed in this location, one nite, spouse to stay 3 nights as planned, but we we left next morning cuz we didn't have much of choice it was very late and we are tired..let's start from front of the Hotel: a lot of homeless people are always neat entrance..(watch out your laguagge) valet peps don't help or wait until you get your things out of the car. They just grab keys and drive off to park it so they can charge you $42 per night.. next ,lobby : not sure if it's construction site or lobby.. no greetings whats so ever.. elevators are old and squeke, shaking and feeling like it's gonna unlatch and crash down to the ground with you in it. Stopping every floor, even no one was entertaining until you reached your floor.Bugs crowling on the floor . Hallways smell like someone died and decomposing... Floors on hallways haven't been bin cleaned for a long time.. The door key won't unlock. I had to go back to the desk ,dragging my luggage along from the fifth floor to the ground and back.. Employees are too busy at the front to assist me .. had to wait another 30 min until the maintenance guy showed up.. finally, 45 min later, I was able to enter my room.. Gosh, the room smells badly , like someone drunk was sleeping there nite before.. The room was decent size, but the atmosphere in it was horrible.. I felt throwing up.. My friends had the same experience. Bedsheets and pilows cases had stains like blood on it.. we called the receptionist to ask for another cleaner rooms, but declined because there was some event going on in the hotel or nearby.. We all had to sleep tru the night in chairs.. was the worst experience in my entire life , I think I would get better room and cleanest in poorest county in Africa or Midlle East.. AVOID for all cost this hotel unless they completely remodel and get this place to standar level of Hygiene..

NillThe hotel is well-located and has historical significance. Cleveland is a beautiful city. On the Hotel Room, the bathroom sink did not allow water to run and was not working properly. The cleanliness of the beds was questionable. The sheets had a very bad smell, and the pillow was the worst. I stayed because I had already made a reservation and arrived very late to the city. I would not recommend this hotel. I plan to choose a different chain with better overall cleanliness in the future. The only reason I rated it two stars is because the lady at breakfast was very friendly and helpful to me and my family

★★★★★Extremely soft sheets. Clean room. Very High ceilings. No bed bugs (looked thoroughly) Very quiet. Peaceful. No smells at all. Helpful and cheerful hotel staff. Bed was a little stiff and pillows fell flat. Only complaint. These can easily be fixed by hotel by putting a pillow topper onto the bed and providing pillows that are fluff/memory foam and not feather. Otherwise one of my favorite 2 star hotel stays.

★★★★This is a great hotel that is in the heart of downtown and very accessible parking. lovely decor in rooms, lobby is a bit stinky, but could have been an issue while we were there. valet is nice. lots to do in the area. breakfast area is sufficient, but warning, even though you take an elevator there, you have to take the stairs to get to eat. love this area of Cleveland. breakfasts at HIE are usually great, and this is no exception, wonderful staff, if you can get up and down the stairs okay. warning, do not try to call the front desk from the rooms, you will not be able to reach them! they do not pick up, you have to physically present to front desk to ask for services. and just like most older buildings, the elevators are a little sketch and VERY busy at checkout time and breakfast, so don't be in a hurry at all!
