Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbus Dublin

We have stayed here coming back from Florida 2 years in a row. We initially selected Home2 Suites because we have a large service dog. Rooms are spacious. Room and common areas were immaculately clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. Small and only downside is the pool is “natural” chemical and this pool had considerable algae growth. ( I did not go in after looking at it). Also minor maintenance issues in room ( disposal popped breaker while not in use and blackout shade would not go down all the way leaving 3in for light to come in. Good value for your money if you want a very clean place with great freeway access if you are traveling with a dog.

Room was nice, the lobby was great for working or relaxing. Breakfast was horrible. Elevators were seemingly excessively shakey, squeaky, and slow. I have had bad experiences with hotel elevators, so this only added to my anxiety.

Room was clean. Service was great. A few minor details missed like our ac leaked around the edges so we had constant cold air blowing into the room but overall a great place to stay. Close to downtown Dublin and a short drive to sawmill Rd.

We were bitten by fleas that were in the carpet of our room. We left the hotel and now have brought them with us in our belongings and are going to have to spend time and money and so much stress and anxiety to hope to get rid of them some day. The rooms were falling apart, the carpets were stained, the furniture and walls were beaten it was just so shabby and run down. We’ve stayed at home 2s across the US and have never had this happen. We also found bed bug stains on the bedcovers and pillow cases. Overall so upset that this has happened as we are going right now to try to wash everything or throw it all away and have to watch for months in our car and home because we’ve already found four since we left. Hotel needs immediate assessment/renovations and needs every room treated for bed bugs and fleas by a specialist. This is unacceptable and just highly highly upset that we have to deal with this now. Each room should be routinely sprayed/steam cleaned for bed bugs and fleas after every guest checks out. Every room should have bed bug protectors on the mattresses/box springs/pillows. It should be standard policy.

Great value for the room, easy access, plenty of parking lot, and convenient location. The only complaint is their soaps and shampoos aren't very good, so don't forget to bring your own.

I’m so confused by all the good reviews. I usually love staying at Home2Suites when traveling with my kids but this was just bad! |I booked it because of the good reviews but upon arrival the hotel has such an awful smell. Like an old building. It continues throughout the hotel. Once in our room there were so many stains. The rug was covered in stains, the couch was covered in stains, the curtain was dirty. It was so bad! My husband travels for work and stays at all kinda of hotels almost weekly and he said even some of the cheapest hotels he’s stayed in haven’t been this bad. |Normally I wouldn’t leave a bad review but I feel like maybe they are paying people to leave good reviews because there is no way everyone is saying that it’s clean. Even the hallway rugs are just so dirty and stained!

Staff checking in was great, evening staff did not acknowledge us, too busy with his friends. Room 109 carpet and couch are FILTHY! Burned out lightbulb, no toilet paper (had to ask for it), microwave dirty and dishes left in the dishwasher.

The hotel is nice, clean, new, and friendly. My room is nice, housekeeping is doing a fine job. Breakfast isnt the most amazing but FAR better than any marriot or the new holiday inn express style. Only complaint is that the hotel is so close to the road that i can hear the traffic pretty badly.
