Comfort Inn Yankton SD

Positive: The room was large and well arranged. The beds were good. The desk clerk who checked us in was friendly.Location of the hotel was convenient and easy to access. We did not hear road noise. Negative: The room had a very unpleasant smell. The carpet was ripped and frayed where it met the tile. Even though the air conditioner cooled the room well, it did not remove any of the humidity from the room, making the air icky.

Great hotel. Nice clean rooms. Bit of a strange setup with the sink and mirror in the entryway rather than in the bathroom, but that was fine. Comfy beds. Good selection at their breakfast. One thing that should be tightened up is that my key cards stopped working, and so I went to the desk to get new ones. I gave my room number, and was just asked to confirm if I was *the name associated with the room* I said yes, and got new cards. I had left one in my room though, so I only gave back one. That is bad security. If my cards actually still worked, I could have given a different room number, agreed that I was the name they asked me, and then gotten new keys to someone else's room while still having onw for mine. They need to ask for ID, or at least ask for the customer to tell them the name associated with the room to confirm it is the right person.

Positive: The location was good for our particular needs. The beds were comfortable. The room temperature was easy to adjust. Breakfast with scrambled eggs & sausage, plus waffles was good. It wasn¿t overly busy in breakfast area. Negative: I didn¿t notice that in order to have the room straightened up if staying more than one day, I needed to make a request. It did work out fine because there were extra towels for 2 days. It did require me to request extra k-cups @ front desk. Negative: ""

Positive: The staff was very friendly. Negative: The rooms have a little wear and tear on them. This is mostly cosmetic.

Went for a softball trip. Needed to add another night and the front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Room was great - beds were comfortable, room was clean, mini fridge was handy, TV was perfect. No pool, but the whirlpool came in very handy after a day of games. Breakfast is good - fruit, waffles, bacon, eggs, muffins, toast, etc. Very convenient to the Summit Fields, HyVee, multiple restaurants, Sports store and gas stations. Not far from Lewis and Clark. A++ Met all our needs.

Nice clean room. Comfortable bed and bed linens were great! Bathroom was odd - seemed to be in the process of remodel, with empty space in bathroom with sink out in room instead. Breakfast could be improved. All sweet, few choices, no protein or sugarless breads, like englishmuffins etc. No cheese or cream cheese or eggs etc... Staff very nice.

Positive: Location. Well meaning staff Negative: Our room was stale/musty & very humid. The walls are not well insulated and there was a loud tv/radio in the room either above or next to us. We reported this to staff who said they would eliminate the odor and noise but whatever they did, did not help.

Our son was going to run in the River Rat Race, so we needed to book a hotel. I am part of the Choices Privilege Program, so that narrowed my choices down, Comfort Inn - Yankton, SD was selected. The checkin was very smooth and inviting. I was even given a Choices Welcome gift, which was a very nice benefit. The room was very clean and spacious (enough room for our sone to do his warm up stretches for the race.) The whirlpool was a welcome amenity for our son's race body health. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was very good in a clean breakfast area. We had asked for a later checkout (12 PM, which they stated that they would grant. At about 11 AM, Housekeeping knocked on our door asking if we were going tro stay another day. I explained that we had a late checkout scheduled. She apologized and left pleasantly. The checkout went very smoothly. All the Hotel staff were very pleasant when around them. They were very detailed to assist the guest in a posiitve manner. The location was good. In all, it was a very good experience, which when and if we get back to Yankton, Comfort Inn - Yankton will be our choice. THANK YOU, Comfort Inn and Choice Privilege program. It was a free night, because of our benefits.
