My wife and I stayed here on our way to visit Big Bend park. Check in was painless. The room was clean and spacious. I agree with the concerns expressed about maintenance. On arrival, we had to call down to get let into our room. The batteries in the door lock were dead. The toilet seat and flush handle were very loose. The Cracked bath tub creaked as you showered. And the bathroom door was in need of some refinishing. None of the issues were large enough to keep us from returning. Overall, it was a quiet nights sleep although somewhat overpriced.

We loved this hotel! Everything was perfect! Check-in was great. There was a happy hour when we arrived with free beer and homemade cookies and bottled water. There was a great restaurant right across the street. The room had a nice smell, the beds were very comfortable, and the WIFI was great. The shower was great with good pressure and a good shower head. The breakfast had fresh fruit and better-than-normal food. We even got to-go bags when we left with snacks. This was the best hotel in a long time. I would highly recommend staying here and wish all hotels were this good.

Nice hotel. Room had plenty of space. Plenty of breakfast choices. Friendly desk personnel. Don’t miss the cookies and drinks at 5. Lobby has some antique furniture for a homey feel. Stayed here for Big Bend National Park. About an hour and 10 minutes to entrance at top of park.

The hotel was okay but the staff was incredibly rude. I thought it was just me but my friends and others we met here had the same experience. Hilton needs to train their staff how to be polite and friendly!

It's not a bad use of 35000 points. Hotel rooms were a little dated and had some wear and tear associated with them. What was neat about the hotel was everything on the outside. The dog park covered motorcycle parking, EV charging area. The neatest was the outdoor grilling and picnic area. Breakfast bar had a lot more options than you get in most Hampton Inns. I was a little concerned with some of the reviews but it ended up being fine.

What we got for our stay was what we paid for: A comfortable, spcacious room with all the amenities. What we DIDN'T get was flexibility from the Hilton reservation system (yes, it's a Hampton Inn brand but a Hilton property). An innocent communication led to the wrong date booked, baited as I was by a lower price with no ability to cancel or even date change. The property had plenty of rooms on the following day. But after three phone calls to the property and to Hilton reservations, we got the "talk to the hand" treatment ... Ill-treatment, actually, which I won't forget the next time I consider choosing a Hilton or Hampton Inn lodging option again.

I have ZERO complaints. The rooms are clean and up to date. The rooms include a microwave and a minifridge. The staff are very friendly. The parking lot is safe, and the location is convenient. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning, and they have complimentary beer and sodas in the evening I'd stay here again in a heartbeat - no questions asked.

Stayed the weekend of September 21st. The check-in front desk attendant was personable and friendly. At first glance, when you walk in it looks like a standard Hampton Inn that I've been to recently. When you get to the rooms, that's another story. I got two rooms one standard and one accessible. The rooms look like a Hampton Inn of the 1990's and very outdated. Worn out, dirty furniture, bathrooms didn't look clean and excessively worn out shower areas. It just didn't feel like a clean room at all with heavy smells. I and my parents ended up not using the shower with their accessible shower/bathroom. I slept on top of the bed for fear of seeing dirty sheets. Add to that a non-working safe in my parents room fell to the floor when my mother opened the closet door. Yikes! This hotel is in dire need of updating . It looks like it was updated recently but it's purely externally in the common areas - entry, lobby-eating areas and hallways had new carpet. The rooms are smelly of heavy carpet deodorizer to hide dirty smells I surmise, dirty worn-out furniture and fixtures, dirty bathrooms and outdated connectivity hubs or lack thereof. Sadly Alpine is limited with hotel options and the owners of this hotel take advantage.
