Hampton Inn Austin NW near The Domain

This hotel is perfectly situated near the Domain, the Arboretum, and 3 major highways. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, and the breakfast area is comfortable. The best part are the staff - extremely conscientious and hardworking. I stayed there 4 times over a few weeks and each time was great.

This is my go-to accommodation when visiting UT for a weeklong work trip. The location is just about perfect to be a great value while not taking forever to get to IT during the rush hour. Plus, the Domain and a host of other restaurants and entertainment options are just a short hop away. The rooms are spacious with fresh, clean and comfy beds and all the basic, useful amenities including a mini fridge. I also prefer the shower stalls over the tubs, at least in the King bedrooms. The only tiny problem might be the AC units, which are a bit dated and can be noisy. The gym is clean and well fitted for a good workout while traveling. The morning hot breakfast buffet is always great with a rotating menu. The breakfast area has plenty of seating and the staff are always cleaning up after guests and stocking up the buffet. However, the best part about this hotel is their exemplary staff. Everyone from the front desk staff to the janitorial staff and the manager is always warm, courteous and eager to help. Needless to say, they have a loyal customer in me.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi is weak. Channels were limited and didn't show the info 😞 the ac/heat in our room did not work. A serviceman was sent to check and it had to be replaced. Grateful that it was taken care of since it was cold that weekend. The breakfast food options was good for family with small children. Our 7 year old enjoyed the waffles! Very pretty Christmas decor inside and outside.

I recently stayed at this hotel Hampton inn and had a totally different experience than I expected. Unfortunately, the service was not good, and the staff seemed indifferent to guests' needs. The rooms were just average; they didn't offer anything special or noteworthy. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. There are definitely better options out there.

The beds were so comfortable and the sheets so soft. Staff super nice! The only negatives was the breakfast a couple of the days - potatoes covered in green/red peppers and one day no potatoes. I rely on this hot food item as a vegetarian. But it is included so I cannot complain too much. The other thing was the noise from the road was pretty loud - drag racing in the week hours, but not the hotel's fault. Overall for the price it was a very nice stay!

Possibly left an item here at the hotel on a recent stay. Drove all the way back to check and got the runaround from the front desk staff. After much convincing they finally did check. But the manager who was sitting in the room behind the counter did not bother to come out and address my concerns. To the manager: something that literally could have taken you less than a minute to do and your unwillingness to do that resulted in this 1 star review instead of a 5 star. In the future I hope that you will take the time to make customers feel valued. Take this as a learning opportunity

The overall stay was decent but the check in was terrible. I called to book about 5 days prior to the stay and I told them on the phone I wanted two beds and I signed up for the rewards program. I confirmed prices on the phone and the lady told me $92 and she could save me $9 if I signed up for the rewards program . Leaving my total at $83 for the one night stay. I also advised the lady I would arrive around 9-10am she said that shouldn’t be problem as long as they have a room clean and available at that time. Upon arrival, I told the lady at the front desk my name. She told me it is gonna be an extra $25 for early arrival. A little irritated but I had no choice as I had a 2 yr old with me and no where else to go. I gave her my card and she ran it. As she hands me my room keys, after I paid. She told me I have 1 king size bed. I said no I booked 2 queen beds. She argued with me saying no and that I booked it online which didn’t happen. I booked it through one of the travel agents, by calling the number they have on their website. She told me it would be an extra $60 if I wanted 2 beds. So we had 3 guest squeeze into one king size, because their travel agent booked the wrong room. Lastly, they charged me $132.21 on top of a $50 fee, that they do reverse 3-5 business days after check out. I am extremely unhappy with the customer service with the lady at the front desk and how I paid $50 more than I was originally told and had to squeeze 3 people into one bed.

Solid Hampton Inn property, always consistent in regards to quality, cleanliness, and comfort. Great location, and breakfast was sufficient. I’ll always choose Hampton Inn because you know what you’re going to get. Id stay here again, no issues.
