Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Corpus Christi Padre Is

This place has become my go-to hotel for fall fishing in the area. The prices are affordable and the rooms are great. There are large refrigerators, not small dorm room sized ones. And a fully supplied kitchenette with an actual range top. The rooms are a decent size and always very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And the location puts me really close to my fishing spots.

We had a small getaway planned and we had a wonderful time. Clean rooms and prompt service! Cute place , right across the beach . The weather was a little cool but it was pleasant to stroll on the beach. Conveniently located, local restaurants near by .

Siren calling....you'll be lulled by the price and location. There is cheap, then there is this place. Everything is dirty and literally falling apart. For an "extended stay" they dont actually expect you to stay; had to beg borrow and plead to get a few cooking utensils. Pretty sure the room was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. Spend the extra $ to stay across the parking lot.

We loved our stay at Hawthorn Suites! Spacious room, friendly staff, and right across the street from the BEACH!! Affordable and accommodating for large families!! We had a suite with a kitchen and were able to cook and eat in the room. We had 2 rooms, with 8 people and all 8 of us were able to hang out and eat in the same room. We had the 2 queen, 2 room suite with couch.

I've been good there. The staff is cool and the location is phenomenal. Just across one street from the beach. Also, there's a bar just near the place with nice and friendly people. Just note this: if you're without a car, you may prepare to spend some money on Uber or Taxis to go to the city and come back. The island is not very walkable, as the Americans say, and downtown is a good 30 min car ride from the island. If you've got time, go check the St. Andrew Church on the island.

The hotel is obviously older, but the cleanliness, the room configuration, the proximity to the beach (3 minutes) the accommodating staff, and the price are my reasons for a 5 star rating. ||||If you’re looking for the modern glass showers, the cook to order breakfast buffets, fresh flowers in the lobby look elsewhere. ||||This hotel checked all my boxes.

We are enjoying are stay with no complaints. Front desk staff excellent and quick to provide extra towels, trash bags, etc. Breakfast was adequate with a couple of hot selections and fresh fruit. We hope to stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend. The location is great. The beach was 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. We had even partial view of ocean from our hotel room. The price is cheaper. The staff are very good. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel.
