Wingate by Wyndham Galveston East Beach

We stayed in this hotel 02/07/2025 the night before our cruise. We were in our room for a few hours, when we discovered little red, and black bugs on our beds. We informed the front desk that these were bedbugs, and they would not refund our room. They just wanted us to change rooms. We ended up staying at another hotel. I do not write bad reviews often, but this is unacceptable. We have put in a call to Wyndham corporate, and disputing their charge on our bank account. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

We spent the weekend at Wingate by Wyndham Galveston East Beach and had a wonderful stay. Our room faced the beachfront, offering a stunning scenic view. It was spacious, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The hotel was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast included waffles, fruit, bagels, coffee and tea, which was a great start to the day. Overall, the combination of a prime beachfront location, cozy accommodations, and attentive service made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends!

Don’t stay at this hotel. Not clean no blankets and would only give me 1. Floors not clean had to ask for hand soap for the room to wash our hands. Most plug’s don’t work. Ask 4 time at breakfast for fresh cold water and still did not fill it. Toaster don’t work. Waffle makers don’t work properly took 10 minutes to cook a waffle. Everybody was throwing theirs away because they’re a raw. Only one kind of cereal has two times to fill the toilet paper downstairs for the restroom still the next morning there was no toilet paper in there. Shower head don’t work. Then they have a sign downstairs saying if you give them a five star reveal they’ll give you a free can of pop wow. Could keep going but not enough time. Paid good money to stay here. Thanks all good luck.

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like bringing back souvenirs of the six leg variety. The first room had bed bug casings and dried blood on the sheets near the head of the bed We told the front desk and he graciously accommodated us with a second room with complimentary roaches that ran to the corner of the room with an extra bold one sitting on the tv stand. The entire building smells like mildew and mold. 0/10, would not recommend. Immediately got a refund and stayed at the Holiday Inn up the street

Only perk is the location and sitting area. Overcharged after approving for a noon checkout. Shiesty. There is no extra toilet paper. No proper blankets were provided. And most ridiculous, this is a 3 floor property. No elevators at all. Absolutely ridiculous!

Room was absolutely disgusting and covered in stains and unknown substances. The room we were supposed to stay in was being lived in by staff (they used the excuse of the toilet being broken.) so they moved us to a set of connected room which were filled with mold. Our friends that were staying in the other suite said there was so much mold in the bathrooms. They harassed me and my family over and over about smoking when we only smoked outside as the rules say. Employees were rude and had extremely ugly personalities. Parking was insane, rooms were disgusting, and ended up having to fix our own toilets more than twice. No responsibility taken and were extremely rude. Pieces of furniture were missing and TV's didn't work. There were no blankets and when we asked for some they handed us 2 sheet covers (one filled with toe nails) and both being impractical. Only 2 pillows per bed and sheets were covered in stains. Noticed scuffs and chunks taken out of furniture, bathroom sink was clued together.

We stayed on a Friday before our cruise and it was great location to restaurants the rooms were clean We enjoyed the stay that we booked it again for another 2 nights after we got off our cruise. The rates are great The front office lady Nina and the gentlemen was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back again.

Booked and stayed for 2 nights. This hotel is a great choice for a beachside stay. The location is perfect, right across from the beach, offering beautiful views and easy access to the shore. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with updated flooring and a cozy bed. Despite the building showing some age, it is well-maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. There was complimentary breakfast with options like toast, waffles, cereal, and coffee. Overall, it's a great place for a short getaway, providing comfort and convenience at a reasonable value.
