We seen some reviews that were not so good but after staying we were glad we did. Not the most modern looking rooms but fancy, very nice, and extremely clean. Beautiful pool. We felt like they go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed was very comfortable and rooms are spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our first time going on a cruise and they made it much easier and supplied us with the information we needed for everything to go smoothly. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared. Would definitely recommend.

Cute quaint rooms, beautiful view (select ocean view) if you have kids select bottom floor as it’s a two story hotel with no elevator. Breakfast was good and the ladies were very sweet & helpful but there’s no sitting area inside - there is an outside patio area where kids can play but it isn’t enclosed so keep an eye on small ones. Also birds will fly down and eat your food lol bed was comfy, overall enjoyed our stay! The pool was HUGE I would have loved to swim but it was too cold outside

Really disappointed in my stay because I did think this was a cute inn and had a cute room. We paid $10 extra for a seaside view, and got a room on the bottom floor next to the pool with the pool fence right in front of the window blocking the view. Then we got woken up at 8am by construction for the pool going on right outside our door. Just wish they could at least wait till closer to checkout time.

We had a great experience here. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We had a truck and trailer we were towing, and there were some parking challenges, but the staff was very accommodating. The rooms were nice and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was great and the woman serving the food was so friendly and kind, even giving us breakfast burritos for the road well before breakfast was open to grab. There were a couple of downsides however. The room we were in had the ice machine right up against the outside of our wall, and was very loud, so that brought some challenges when it came to sleeping. Our air conditioning didn't seem to be functioning, so I called the front desk multiple times, and never got ahold of anyone. I left a message, and never heard back. It never got fixed before we left. They told us the first night that they had a gate that got locked up at night for security, and that police went through there regularly. We never saw any police in the area, nor did we ever see the gate locked up. Overall, the quality vs cost makes this a high value place and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend despite the few challenges.

Great little place! Rooms need some TLC in a deep cleaning, scrub the walls, repaint and repair cracked shower tiles. Otherwise it was clean and comfy. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and quite delicious. The ladies were always pleasant! Pool area was incredible! Looks like they are renovating and improving a little at a time. Don't sleep on this cool retro motel!

Great place for a reasonable price. The rooms are a little musty but it's an older building so I get it. (You get what you pay for.) Everybody was super nice, location was great. I didn't get a chance to jump in the pool or experience the restaurants though I wish I could've, the pool looked spacious and the menus looked amazing. They also offer cruise parking and shuttle service which I wish I would've known before I paid for parking at the port which is always a cluster. Looking forward to my next trip to Galveston so I can give this motel another visit.

The hotel is close to Port Galveston. Our room and was clean and provided standard necessities. We were able to park our vehicle at the hotel location at no extra charge for the duration of our cruise. The breakfast was poor. I would book here again should we sail from Port Galveston.

I love this place. The rooms could use a little updating but the price coincides with the product. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Pool is great. Breakfast is good except I asked for additional sausage (keto) and was told they can only serve two unless I got another plate. I was by myself but grabbed another plate. Made no sense. Gaidos restaurant is pretty good and excellent service. I'll stay here every time I visit Galveston
