Beachfront Palms Hotel

Please don't stay here. My other and I cruise out from Galveston, and luckily one year we found this place because they did offer cruise parking with only one nights stay. Well, this year we purchased a room under the free parking offer. Mind you we arrive a day before our cruise only for them to tell us they no longer honor this. We BOOKED THE ROOM UNDER THE PARKING OFFER. HOW DO YOU NO LONGER OFFER IT? No call, no text, no email to say hey we are sorry we no longer offer this. Thank goodness for last minute parking at Affordable Cruise Parking!!! The hotel didn't even offer any discount, or something to make up for thier shady business practice. The owner, we found out, is selling the place so what's it to the owner, ya know. Trust me when I say I will never stay here again. On top of that the bathroom toilet didn't flush and the elevators are horrible. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Don't let your vacation be ruined by this bad business.

I was nervous after reading all the Google reviews but for the price I am very impressed. The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Of course this is not a 5 star hotel but it is clean. To be honest I have witnessed more outdated hotels with a higher price. I did not see any pest. The room did have a lot of moisture but hey it’s on the seawall so we cranked up the AC which worked fine. Overall it’s an okay hotel in a perfect location. Only a few min from major retailers. I would book again for maybe an overnight beach day with the kids.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was very disappointing. The free breakfast was decent, and the hotel offered a nice view, which was the highlight of our stay. However, these positives were completely overshadowed by numerous issues. First and foremost, the room was filled with mold, which made the air feel damp and musty. Both my kids and I started feeling sick during our stay, likely due to the mold exposure. It was incredibly frustrating and concerning. To make matters worse, there were no towels in the room upon arrival, and we had to request them from the front desk. The staff was incredibly rude, showing no empathy when I mentioned the mold issue. They didn’t even acknowledge it, let alone offer an apology. Additionally, the TV in the room didn’t work, and the stairs were closed, which was inconvenient and frustrating. The pictures online also did not match the reality of the hotel — it was far more worn-down than portrayed. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially with young children. The lack of proper maintenance and customer service was truly disappointing.

In the seawall with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Big clean rooms and I love that there is carpet under the beds so your feet aren’t cold when you get out of bed, but the rest of the room is tile. Clean bathrooms and tub. Hot breakfast from 7am till 10am. Very pleased with my stay

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The moment I walked into the room, I was hit with a disgusting mix of mold and marijuana, despite the motel’s so-called “no smoking policy.” The floors were sticky, like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The bed sheets? Absolutely filthy—stained so badly I wasn’t even sure if they had been changed since the last guest. And to top it all off, there was vomit or some other unidentifiable stain on the side of the bed. Disgusting! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. I wouldn’t wish a night in this place on my worst enemy.

We were a little weary when we read the reviews but overall, everything was great! Didn’t see any bugs in our room, beds were neatly made with fresh linens and plenty of towels for all of us. The breakfast was amazing with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and the waffles made fresh and plenty of coffee and juice! I’m not hard to please when it comes to a place to lay my head but this stay exceeded my expectations.

Beachfront Palms Hotel was a TOTAL FAIL! I read reviews on Yelp, Booking.com, Google, Hotwire, etc., and nothing stood out telling me to RUN! Upon check-in we were given room 201. It smelled musty and worse than the "old room smell.". No more than 10 minutes later, I started getting a bad headache. My husband went to the bathroom and said, Yeah, there's mold in here; all they did was paint over it. So, I went to the front desk, voiced my concerns, she understood, and I asked to switch rooms. The next room she put us in was room 222, and the smell was much better until I lay down and looked over. I saw something, so I pulled the bed sheet back, and there was pee all along the side of the bed, mattress, and sheets. Honestly, my husband thought, Yeah, okay, babe, until he came over and saw it for himself and smelled it because he couldn't believe it. I went back to the front desk, and they sent housekeeping with me. She took pictures and agreed it was gross. I was refunded, so there's that, but it was a HUGE inconvenience being that so many hotels had NO vacancy this weekend, so 3 hours later we finally ended up at a different hotel. Husband I should call the public health department, which I plan on doing once we're back from our cruise. If you've read my review this far, thank you, and be sure to RUN as far away from this property as possible.

Terrible service beginning from the start and y The end. Sadly environment . We rent out yesterday 02/15/25 for 1 night stay and the lady in front desk and the 2 other guys where very rude. As we got to our room and take our shoes the floor was very sticky. Next door where a couple yelling and fighting all night till 6 am. We call the front office few times and no one took action. It is impossible that we where the only complaining. Last time we call they said that we need to call the police. So we got over it. We did not sleep well and thank God we just travel here for the cruise. It was a last minute reservation and it won't happen again. This staff needs to learn how be more transparent and kind for the future. I hate to give bad reviews but is maybe because I didn't do the review on time. Breakfast is decent. Such of great location!
