NillI brought my family here to escape the Midwest winter and we ended up bringing it with us. The hotel was nice enough, but it does have the feel of cheaper Hilton brands. The lobby is cramped, the dining area is quaint, and the bar area spills out into the concierge desk. That aside, our room was fairly modern and I appreciated the light blocking blinds, even if I had to repair them to get them to work properly. On our second night we ate our takeout in the hallway outside our room while we waited for hotel staff to replace batteries in our door lock. I did really appreciate the king and sofa bed, they accommodated our family perfectly however we had to call the front desk to get sheets and bedding for the sofa bed as there weren't any in the room. Had to make a second call for pillows because asking for bedding wasn't specific enough to include them in the first delivery. Once we had the necessary accoutrements the sofa bed was easy enough to make. Location is great - walk to the beach (when it's not snowing) and right next to some restaurants that aren't too bad (you can expect a $70 breakfast if you eat at the hotel - 2 adults and 3 kids). If you decide to venture out for better food you're in the middle of the island so everything is a short drive away. While we enjoyed our stay those few little inconveniences would push me to try the place next door.

NillJust stayed for 1 night before our cruise and everyone was beyond friendly and so helpful. Loved our room and the view. Was in walking distances to a lot of other places as well. Definitely will come back!

NillIf you’re staying here to go to a cruise, this place is perfect with a shuttle to the port and long term parking. We stayed in a standard room so nothing fancy. The room is small and the bathroom even smaller. Everything worked well and there wasn’t too much noise from the highway or other guests. If you get a standard room, it’ll probably have a few of the parking lot. Breakfast is fine, nothing too special but there’s often a wait so come early. You can order standard breakfast or get the buffet which is $23/adult and $15/kid and includes fresh to order eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, made to order Texas shaped waffles, hash browns, country potatoes, two types of scrambled eggs and the other standards of cereal, breads, oatmeal and assorted milk, juice and coffee. There is a fitness center, outdoor pool, and business center. If you forget something, down the street is a Kroger that stocks groceries as well as beach/pool items.

★★★★★Stayed here for two nights before our Disney cruise. Excellent hotel! The staff is amazing. From start to finish, our trip was much more pleasant staying here. When we arrived staff member, SJ Shaw, was very accommodating, helping us with parking our car. The first night of our stay we dined in. Given the holiday season, it was packed. The restaurant was very busy so the food took a while but once it arrived, boy were we happy because it was delicious! Everyone is so friendly and hospitable. Emily, the hotel room attendant provided excellent service, ensuring we had all we needed for our stay and kept our room tidy. The hotel staff had holiday events such as a holiday movie night and live musical performances to keep guests entertained. Every staff member went above and beyond.

★★★★★We stayed here before leaving on a cruise. The hotel is right across from the beach so the room had a beautiful view. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and convenient for breakfast. There is a great restaurant next door which is sister property to the hotel. They also organize a shuttle that picked us up right in front of the hotel and took us to the pier...only $15. (cheaper than Uber). The front desk staff was amazing. Delanishia answered so many questions and provided exceptional service. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

★★★★★Great pre-cruise stay at Hilton Galveston Island Resort. Rooms have recently been refreshed and public space getting done. Staff was friendly and the breakfast staff was great. It was rare to also actually have a great breakfast entree. ||Used my credit to mostly cover the entrees and our kids under 5 ate free at the buffet. Adult buffet was also an option but went a la carte ||They even gave my kids a toy a breakfast from the hotel. ||Parking does cost but not much and valet is an option. Most of the rooms you can see some water. Even resort view can see partial view for many. ||Location is good and felt safe and secure. Rainforest Cafe, Landry’s Steakhouse are in walking distance as well as some other hotels, dining and grocery store. ||Pool area looks fun in the summer. ||The resort is part of Hilton Resort Credit Eligible Hotels if you have the Aspire card for resort credits. ||Would stay again.

★★★★★My wife & I had a most pleasant stay at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort this past December. While this was not our first stay there, the visit was outstanding. ||Having stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years for business & pleasure, this particular time we experienced a demonstrative improvement in service. ||The restaurant, in particular was extraordinary. The quality of food was exceptional and the restaurant service & personal engagement by those in attendance was enjoyable. Breakfast was a pleasure. Because so... we made certain not to miss any during our 4 day stay.||The restaurant service attendants were pleasant, engaging & positive all the while we were there. Breakfast there was a great way to start our day.||Having stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years, we noticed a marked improvement in the menu, quality of food was better than excellent.... and staff quite enjoyable. ||Thank you again for a wonderful time at this hotel....||We'll be back....

★★★★★We have been coming here for over a dozen years. The same smiling faces greet us every time. Lindale and Ms T give the absolute best service. Ms Peggy makes sure our accommodations are always perfect. They make my children feel special. Breakfast is great, and the pool is also when you’re not at the beach. |Dinner is often better than having to wait in line an hour anywhere on the island.
