NillYou might choose this place because of its lower price compared to others in the area, but everything comes at a cost. The room has a strong, unpleasant odor—not just the room, but the entire corridor smells bad. Additionally, the rooms shown on booking sites do not match the actual ones. Check real room pictures that I attached. Spending a little extra will make your trip much more enjoyable, which is unlikely to happen in this hotel.

NillV.J. is absolutely amazing! Each time I extended my stay, she was incredibly helpful. Even when I had an issue with my first room, she didn’t hesitate to accommodate me. Her personality is warm and welcoming, which exemplifies what I consider 5-star service. I hope to see her role expand on my next visit. As for the lovely hotel itself, I wish it continued success! This will be my number one hotel every time I come to Houston. Not only was the room clean, but it also had a full kitchen, complete with a refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc.. It truly feels like a home away from home! Plus, the pictures accurately represent the room.

★★★When I first walked into this property, I had high hopes but you can experience inconsistencies in service. All of the staff is nice and I really like VJ, the manager. The rooms are nice and definitely an upgrade from many other Candlewoods. A little more attention to details would make stays better. We had issues with housekeeping and a plumbing issue with the shower. Although attentive to issues with getting them reported and assessed, communication on next steps is lacking. No channel or TV guide to identify channels so be ready to play guess the channel as the guide on the TV and actual channels do NOT align. Is being greeted as an IHG member not standard anymore? As a travel agency owner, I could recommend the property but would definitely ensure clients manage their expectations.

★★★The hotel overall wasn’t awful, but the room was disgusting. Had a horrible smell, maybe from drain? In the bathroom there was someone else’s hair glue, hair ties and hair in drawer, didn’t use shower or kitchen. Bed was comfortable. The lady at the front desk was helpful but was not the most friendly. The lady she was training was pleasant.

★My family of 4 arrived 3-1 to the hotel to check in and was told my booked room from Jan was not available . The concierge then told me that she doesn’t know how I was able to book the 1bed rm (2) bed suite because the guest that are in there have been there over a month. At this point I’m wasn’t sure what type of hotel this was but I was angry to say the least. She then said all that she had was a 1bed that probably wouldn’t accommodate my family. Again angry!! My son is 16 and my daughter is 6 plus my husband . It was last minute so we had no other choice but to stay. I had to ask for bedding for my son to sleep in the chair which he ended up sleeping on the floor. This was so unfortunate and unprofessional to say the least. This was my 1st and last booking with this chain because who’s to say this won’t happen again. The next day we were moved to a 2 bed room which worked out better for my family. This was a bad experience and a 1st for me dealing with this. I booked beginning of January which you would think is good timing. But no because clearly you should call ahead (which I’ve never had to do) to see if the room you booked is available even though you booked though their direct site (no 3rd party) . I’ve called customer service and was told they were having difficulties and I would get a call back in 3 min …… well over 20min and still no call back. Never again

★I’ve been a loyal member for a while and have never experienced a hotel this filthy and poorly maintained. The room was in terrible condition from the moment I walked in. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned. To make things worse, the restroom reeked of cigarettes. There were constant noises all night—loud banging from upstairs and people shouting and stomping down the hallways, making it impossible to get any rest. The air conditioning barely worked and didn’t cool the room. The bedding situation was appalling. There was no mattress protector, just a single sheet and no blankets provided. On top of that, there were barely any towels or body wash in the restroom. Fridge still had food from previous guests. I’ve stayed at many properties under this brand and always had a decent experience, but this was by far the most disgusting and disappointing. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, and I won’t be returning.

★This location definitely doesn't meet the standards of IHG. Member status means nothing at this location. Room had a bad smell, bed was really uncomfortable, noisy. Definitely not the location to get a good rest. Didn't even get the room I had reserved; I was downgraded instead of upgraded! Especially traveling with family, I truly recommend at other IHG locations.

NillThe rooms are pretty run down and the hallways all smell like weed. It doesn't feel safe to be out or around the hotel after dark. Room service doesn't really happen and they request that you wash your own towels as laundry is free. However detergent is not.
