OYO Hotel Irving DFW Airport North

Looks can be deceiving, and the reality was very much different in person and wasn't like in the photo. For the price we got, it was on the side of just serviceable of which can be inferred from operation, dated equipment, graffiti on walls, and price cuts for matienance/outright closures in person. I was very much surprised we had a little stove in the room. That was cool! Other than that, the ac couldn't keep up with the heat, and the windows were frighteningly elastic upon contact. The best feature and saving grace was that they allowed dogs. Either because irresponsible animal owners tore the place down, the value and the owners just gave up, or they became complacent and frugal to the point they let animals in as a result. My dogo was a good cub scout, even while enduring the heat and panting still with the ac. This place needs some TLC and an inspection. Only come here if you have an animal and a humble bedroom is no obstacle to you. Update upon further inspection looking at the reviews. Holy cow, I had it a lot better than everyone else! Cockroaches, hordes of mice, dishonorable customer service, denying/stealing rooms, etc.

As an Extended Stay Hotel this is one of the better ones. The owners live on site and there are several long term tenants. There are no gang members, trouble makers or hookers. It is a very quiet place to spend the night.

It is no longer the OYO AND THE INTERNET BOOKING PRICES DO NOT APPLY AND THEY WONT HONNOR THEM EITHER . The door to my room was obviously kick in the past very unsafe . There is no ice machine, one vending machine in the lobby. The rooms are very bland and at 60 plus dollars night. I was very disappointed and i will not be returning until problems are fixed.

THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT RUN YOUR CARD. Threaten to file report. He said he refunded money and then charged a 53 dollar cancellation fee. These rooms have roaches everywhere. Disgusting slums

The OYO is now the Studio 6 Mote. I got there to check in at 3pm. He told me to come back after 5pm because the room was dirty due to being low staff for housekeeping. When I arrived back at 5 pm, the new front desk person asked for my ID which was a little suspicious to me seeing as I was all checked in and given a key at 3 pm. The elevator DOES NOT WORK. I was on the 3rd floor. As walking up the step, you can see the dead roaches and bugs on the steps. When arrived in the room, the air wasn’t on and it was roaches coming out. I went back to the front desk, he stated he couldn’t get me another room due to the hotel being fulled. I went and got spray. I was tight on money and need that Friday night to Monday morning to make it. Open the microwave and baby roaches can crawling out. I just closed it and pushed it. The comforter had a smell so I took it off the bed and used it to fill the crack under the door. The fitted sheet had 4 cigarette burn holes in it. I moved the bed away from the wall afraid a bed would get on the bed. The bath had roaches in the tub. I slept with the bathroom light on as well as the light in the kitchen area due to the roaches. I had to make the best of a tight bad situation. But do not book here. It’s nothing like the pictures. I mean nothing.

This place is terrible. Do not stay here. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before coming in, because what happened to everyone else in the comments happened to me. You reserve online, you get there and they can’t honor your reservation unless you pay them 20$. I booked a room online for 53 dollars, they stated they can’t honor the price, even though the website for this location has the same room listed for 38$? The man at the front desk made the company look bad when he slammed his hands down on the desk when I questioned him. There is no manager available to talk to here. I will be contacting the better business Bureau because this place can’t be on the up and up. They have cameras everywhere, you would think they’d do something about the people using drugs on their property. Please don’t stay here unless it’s your only option, and if you choose to stay here do not book online.

HORRIBLE HOTEL! When I checked in the room was still dirty from whoever checked out before me. From desk employees told me I was lying about the room being dirty so I had to keep bothering them to get them to clean it, it wasn’t cleaned until the next day in the evening. The roach infestation is something not even a homeless person could sleep through, roaches EVERYWHERE! They even crawl all over the bed, I had to smack a lot of them off the bed while I was trying to sleep! The only reason I stayed the entire 5 days I booked is because it was non refundable and non transferable. Housekeeping was rude when they cleaned my room they tried to tell me it was my mess that they were cleaning but they don’t speak English so I couldn’t explain to them that it was the person who checked out before me that left the room in such a mess. Don’t waste your money, if you can get something more expensive please please do. It’s so NOT worth it. And if you’re the owner or employee reading this review, DO BETTER. Your hotel should be CLOSED DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Don’t even bother replying to my review because if you aren’t gonna give me my 290.00 back, I don’t wanna hear a THING. It’s evident that no one actually cares about the complaints/reviews because if the hotel DID care they would do something about it! ZERO STARS!

DO NOT BOOK HERE! THEY WILL REFUSE SERVICE! [was told I HAVE to book through OYO in order to get a room, and after seeing reviews of the room when I was denied a room, it was a blessing in disguise] This is the WORST motel ever!! My family booked this place with Capital One Travel. On arrival, they refused to give us our room due to us paying "a cheap price" (we payed $72 w/ capital). Then the guy proceeds to tell us, he can give us the room if we pay an extra $30, because we're near the airport and the price we paid "isn't right". I called OYO customer service and told the lady what happened, she told me she'll take care of it. Not a minute later, she called the front desk and spoke to the guy (mind you they were both speaking in Hindi). While waiting for the call to end between them, a lady told me I should discuss with capital one instead due to OYO headquarters are located in India and their customer service are trash. She was right, OYO states there is nothing they can do but "escalate" the situation and request a refund. Called Capital One and they stated due to OYO escalating the situation, they are unable to do anything but wait til OYO makes their move. Before I EVEN called OYO, the guy at the front said he cancelled our booking and requested a refund (which I didn't ask for, I just wanted the room cause we were exhausted since we drove from Houston), and he didn't even give us a confirmation paper or anything that shows he canceled the room. I said could you AT LEAST print the cancellation confirmation, he ripped a piece of paper and wrote some numbers in chicken scratch. The condition of the place the worst I have ever seen for a motel. Ghetto place, save your self the trouble and book elsewhere.
