Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Lubbock

Positive: Staff was friendly and someone was always cleaning. The rooms were spacious and I love dove products in the restroom. I was worried about reviews I read after name of hotel was disclosed but my bedding and room were clean and food was decent. Negative: The key card needed to be reprogrammed all three days I was there. The carpets could use a shampooing though not too bad.

We were very dissatisfied with our stay at this location. They gave us a “presidential” suite which was very obviously worn out with subpar cleanliness. The floor was not vacuumed. The coffee pot was broken. The couch had rips in it and the bedroom had no heat or air conditioning. The staff offered us a space heater. We refused this because of the danger involved. Upon leaving, we found some dirty socks behind the night table. You can tell the room had not been cleaned very well. We will not be staying at this location again.

Hotel is under renovations, so some areas are done and others are still being worked on. Rooms are very spacious! Very clean! Our room had a sulfer type smell which made it hard for me to sleep. I had to spray perfume around the room. AC was loud! Breakfast was OK. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and the sausage was blah. Coffee not so good either. Beds were comfortable and firm. Nice Dove bath products. Overall not too bad. Once they finish renovations, figure out what the smell in the rooms are, and tweak other things, it could really be a great place to stay. For 1 night, it was just fine.

What a great place to stay. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub and the breakfast was delicious and stayed well stocked and clean throughout breakfast time. The staff was very friendly. Especially the maintenance man. My mother really enjoyed his conversation and knowledge of the area since he has spent his entire life in Lubbock. If we ever make our way to Lubbock again. We will definitely be staying here.

Positive: I have usually been pretty lucky in getting a handicap room. But this time, I was especially lucky. The staff was so willing to go that extra step for me. This is my favorite hotel when I come to Lubbock. Negative: ""

Positive: The room size and the location. Negative: Staff was sparse. Room felt dirty. We killed two roaches in our room (one on the bed). Our door would not lock (it was fixed by staff but we slept the whole first night not knowing it wasn't locked). No extra linens were provided for fold-out sofa.

Rooms are nice and cozy; great towels and bed and pillows are nice. Quiet area. And convenient after several hospital visits and drs visits within a short couple of days! Staff was very helpful and accommodating; I’ll definitely be staying here again

We've stayed here before and we love the pool and bar area. I dont remember before hearing so much hwy noise and the ducks in the morning WOW haha. Never had issues with hanging out enjoying a drink while the kids swim. This go around the evening manager basically kicked us out as there is a no food or glass allowed. Well drinks from bar are poured in non glass cups. Needless to say HUGE inconvenience to try and "supervise" your kids from outside the pool area. Another couple their daughter kept walking out to eat her cheese and crackers while leaving a wet trail behind. But whatever. Gabriel was exceptionally great looking over the breakfast area nothing ever went low kept everything well stocked. Great job!
