DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock University Area

JMTJ Construction and Common Ground HSE Management setup training at this hotel in Lubbock, Tx on short notice. All of the employees were so impressed with the staff, the conference room used for the training, the rooms and the indoor restaurant. JMTJ had 20+ employees and staff stay at this location and we will definitely be using it again in the future. A special thank you to Robyn for working with us on all of the meeting deliverables! (Great job!) We also appreciated the support from Dee, Haley Winn (the setup in the CR and the breakfast was perfect all week), Sherri and Vicente in the restaurant and Shannon the GM for your professionalism was greatly appreciated! Highly recommend this place!!!!

Positive: The staff. They were friendly, informative, constantly working, and kept the hotel running smoothly. Negative: No complimentary breakfast, no microwave in room, they only have coffee in the lobby for a couple hours in the morning, and if the hotel was full, or too many people dining at the restaurant, then there is not enough parking.

It gets 2 stars for being pretty. That's it. Sand paper for toilet paper and tissue. The bar looks nice but it's where all the rooms can hear everything from the piano to the drunks cheering on a basketball game. Great place to come party but don't for one minute think you're going to get good rest let any. Why this architectural design was approved by the owner is beyond me. I will never stay here again.

Made a trip to Lubbock on short notice. Clean, well appointed room. Dee was amazing. So kind and helpful. Understood the need for our trip and was compassionate and caring. Would stay again when we find ourselves back in Lubbock.

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The bar/restaurant food was excellent and I was glad I dined there. They have an indoor pool and gym but I didn't get an opportunity to use it.

I stay at this hotel about 6 times a year for business. Because I travel all week for my job, I am very picky about staying in good hotels. I keep coming back because the hotel is clean and updated. The staff for the hotel and restaurant have always been very friendly and inviting. The restaurant has great food! 5 stars!!

The guy that checked us in (Dee) was super personable and professional and friendly. Nicest hotel and best hotel I stayed at on our way to Colorado. THE RESTAURANT AT THIS PLACE IS AMAZING YOU HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT , SOME OF THE BEST FOOD I ATE ON MY 7 DAY ROAD TRIP WAS HERE .

Haley, our breakfast server was pretty amazing! She smiled, she was kind and really treated us great. I ordered the breakfast burrito but didn’t expect it to be deep fried. Wish I had an option, I would have had it non fried. Being a Hilton honors member I really wish you got what was promised. With the restaurant closing early that cookie really would have been nice!!!
