First time at a H2S. I've seen them everywhere, haven't tried one. Great location, right off the freeway. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. First impression, felt like I stepped into a European hotel. Was in Amsterdam recently and it had that IKEA Euro feel. Lots of white, sharp edges, felt like a hospital cafeteria. Got to my room. Somewhat similar to a Residence Inn. Full side fridge/freezer, sink, dishes and glasses. Desk was a pull out table with locking wheels. Room was clean but just didn't feel warm and welcoming. It just felt....odd, compared to other comparable hotel properties. Will probably stay at a different Hilton property next time. Not quite sure what market Hilton is trying to capture with H2S.

Utilized the Hilton Mobile App to book a reservation under a govt rate of $107.00. Arrived and was quickly assigned a room on the first floor. I was not asked to show govt id or travel papers. ||||Upon checkout the desk clerk showed me internal memo ( not on Hilton letter head and strewn with spelling errors) indicating that since I did not show my ID or paper work my rate arbitrarily defaulted to the full rack rate of $242.00. Even after showing valid govt ID they refused to recognize the rate of $107.00. This was simply a trap , a set up and a coordinated fraud. ||||I engaged Hilton Honours Corporate as I have been a long term awards member. After several calls I was told they could not help me. Very disappointing !||||I was able to dispute the increase in costs through Master Card and successfully recouped the inflated funds. ||||This is not in line with proper ethics and integrity. The room was bare bones ,basic and the location was noisy. ||||If you are considering this place….RUN !

Home2 Suites by Hilton in Lubbock is a very clean hotel. Staff is super friendly and super helpful. This hotel is conveniently located by the major freeway and easy to get to. It's means of egress is accessible from the frontage road and also from a side road as well. The only thing that I found a bit inconvenienced is that on the weekends breakfast starts at 7 instead of 6 like the other weekdays. The room we had was spotless and the shower was super clean as well. I highly recommend this Home2 Suites for your next Lubbock stay!!

I booked a room under a govt rate of $107.00 via the Hilton Mobile App. |Upon check-in I was quickly assigned a room on the main floor. I was not asked for any govt ID or travel papers. Historically this is the time a desk clerk checks to ensure one qualifies for the rate. If not, the guest should then be able to choose to accept an inflated rate or leave. ||At check-out the desk clerk drew my attention to a locally generated note (not on Hilton Letterhead with spelling errors) and advised since I did not show ID upon check in I was arbitrarily charged the "Full Rack Rate" of $242.00. Even after showing my valid Govt ID they refused to honour the $107.00 rate. ||I contacted Hilton Corporate for assistance and after three frustrating conversations I was told they could not help me! I have been an HHonours member since 2009 and have previously reached "platinum" status. ||I was able to dispute the inflated charge through Mastercard and after 10 weeks, I re-couped the difference of the inflated funds. ||The actions of this hotel are unethical and of low integrity. They basically set a trap for their guests. Furthermore the room was below average and the place was noisy. We didn't stay for breakfast, as it looked very sparse. ||If you are considering this hotel....RUN AWAY!

The hotel is consistent with all other Home2 and is in the University area. This said the rooms are nice and clean the lean staff is Amazing and they work hard. The breakfast lady goes above and beyond for you. Home 2 controls what they can control including having signage if you are there for a govt rate to have your orders to get that rate. Just be proactive and do it. ||What the hotel can’t control is it’s on the wrong side of the loop. That said I would park in front of the hotel and stay from the back to park which is dark. Take care of your stop the front lit side is nice and safe but the back is almost like an alley and I’ve heard of cars getting messed with but you’ll be ok parking in the front. ||Overall love this hotel and we will be back. Thank you for treating me and my family well

This ain't just a hotel room, it's a hotel home! Room is very big, with a full sized refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, couch, even a pullout "kitchen" table! Beds were very comfortable, and everything was quite clean. The continental breakfast was really good too!! The facility also has a good sized gym, and laundry services available. Though no fault of their own, the only downside was I didn't have a rental car of any kind, and there were no sidewalks to get across the streets to the restaurants and shopping just to the south. I'd definitely stay here again!

I had a great experience here, the room was clean in this newly built hotel and there was plenty of space to stretch. The staff was always friendly and helped with any questions I had. I breakfast was adequate for what I needed. The breakfast bar had oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, omelets, and texas shaped waffles. They have a small store area with tv dinners, drinks, and necessary items like laundry soap. They did not have alcohol but there are a few places extremely close to address this issue including a major grocery store across the highway. I also can say it's 10 minutes from the airport, if you need to get some sleep quickly, you won't have to go far.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. While the room itself was nice, the astonishingly poor service completely ruined my stay. 1. Check-in Disaster I stayed for just one night, and the frustration started right at check-in. The hotel’s system was down, which is understandable, but the way it was handled was unacceptable. The staff barely acknowledged me, provided no updates, no apologies, and NOT EVEN a seat to wait. When I asked if I could check in manually due to exhaustion, I was met with silence. Even in unexpected situations, basic customer service should not be neglected. 2. Hidden Extra Charges & Zero Transparency The next day, I received an email claiming I damaged hotel property. However, the email body SAID NOTHING but to greet—the only way I found out was through an attached receipt, which also FAILED to specify what the charge was for. This lack of transparency is incredibly unprofessional and feels sneaky. 3. Arrogant and Uncooperative Post-Service When I reached out for clarification, requesting video footage to verify the claim, I was met with evasiveness and dismissiveness. All I heard repeatedly was, “The manager is not available.” It took weeks of back-and-forth with no cooperation, costing me almost half an hour daily just to get a response. Why This Review? Had this been a personal trip, I would have tolerated the zero-star customer service and paid $500 for fence damage—even if I wasn’t sure I caused it. I even didn’t leave a review when I was hung up on as I am saying thank you. But after three weeks of deliberate non-cooperation, lack of transparency, and arrogant service, I can no longer stay silent. Avoid this hotel if you expect even the most basic level of customer service.
