★This definitely not a typical Staybridge hotel quality. 1) Room is very worn out. Sofa has spots all over. And sweat smell inside the room 2) Floor tiles in bathroom already loose. Be careful after taking a bath not get scratched by the floor tile. Low drainage for the bathtub. 3. Breakfast quality is mediocre. There was light occupancy when i was there and most bfast items already gone. 4. Though hotel is quite empty they were not allowing early check-in even for Platinum members. 5. Kitchen utensils and lots are dirty. I supposed to stay for 3 nights but decided to only stay for 1 night instead. My suggestion go stay in another hotels. There are much better IHG hotels in the same area with much better quality and similar price ranges. PS. Per the hotel receptionist.. the claimed 2024 renovation is just for the kitchen wall tiles. That is even a joke for what i saw in the kitchen area.

★Arrived at the property to be told they couldn’t issue keys so they would have to walk us to our room. Once we were at the room we quickly learned we had no ac and no hot water. This would have been information the hotel should have called and told me before my check in so that I could make other arrangements. When I called the front office I was told it would be fixed any minute. It in fact was never fixed that night and we took ice cold showers and had no heat or ac. Didn’t sleep much that night. The next morning I asked for a refund on my stay and was told to email the manager. I did exactly that and was called by the manager. She informed me she would be putting 10,000 points on my account. That is barely enough for a discount on a room and HARDLY equivalent to what we endured. On top of that, I didn’t receive the points. All in all I rate this as a place I will not return to. Which is sad because my daughter is a freshman at tech and over the next 4 years I will be in Lubbock quite a bit and the location is good.

★★★★We stayed here while visiting family and friends. The location was perfect for what we needed. There is a small dog walk, which is secure so dogs can be off leash, in the backyard area of the hotel, which was very handy as we travel with dogs. The staff was responsive and helpful. The hotel is typical IHG which we appreciate. The food for breakfast and social time was not great or creative.

★★Front desk staff was AMAZING! During my stay, the elevator was broken, which made it difficult to carry our belongings and move around the hotel. Additionally, our room was without a working TV. A maintenance man initially assured us that a replacement would be provided, but he did not return as promised. Furthermore, we encountered issues with the Wi-Fi, which made it impossible for my child to be entertained and hindered my ability to log on to complete work and homework assignments. To compound these issues, we also faced a lack of hot water for showers, which was quite inconvenient for my family. Later on we were informed that the electricity was out in some areas of the hotel. Overall, these deficiencies fell short of what I expected an IHG Property. I emailed my concerns to the general manager and the local manger. Was verbally promised compensation which I have not received. I have also reached out through guest relations to no avail. Save the time and money and book somewhere else.

NillWent to Brooks and Dunn concert, only to find out because of an explosion at Tech the day before, concert was reschedule for the next week. Hotel was great, they changed our reservation for the next week. Remembered us the following week and we're so nice. Price was great, location to Tech was great, staff wonderful. Our room was clean, no smells. Little outdated, but clean and comfortable. Will stay there again, when we got back to Lubbock

NillTook my son for his 7th birthday. Checked in at 10pm when we arrived. Worst experience. - no bedding or pillows in our king suite for the pull out sofa (bag was in closet but empty) - tv/cable box wasn’t hooked up. (Had to pull out the dresser and hook it all up. - no remote for the living room tv had to use bedroom remote - A/C in bedroom didn’t work. Would run 6-8 minutes and then turn off - phone didn’t work in the room (all these complaints when found had to be taken directly to the front desk since the phone didn’t work)

★Horrible experience. After checking and getting settled in the room I noticed there was left over spoiled rotten chicken in the microwave left from I’m assuming prior guests. There was also no extra pillows for the pullout couch bed. After leaving the hotel for dinner we returned back to the hotel to discover that the elevators were not working so we had to take the stairs. We then got to the room to discover the room lights and TV were not working. We took the stairs backdown to the front desk where no one was at. We then realized the desk people were eating food in the lobby and failed to even mention the power was out. When we mentioned the issues we were having they said that they had someone coming out to fix the power. There was no hot water in the morning and also the power didn’t come back on until 8am. We checked out first thing in the morning. Never again!

★★★This hotel is in need of renovation. Curtains were tattered and worn. Bathroom floor was filthy, and sink was unclean. (food still in sink from previous guest brushing teeth (most likely). 2 of 3 lamps in room weren't working when I arrived-lacking bulbs or bulbs were burned out. Hospitality hours were worst I've seen in an IHG property. Only one item prepared to eat each night. ie; loaded mashed potatoes, pizza bites, meatballs. Inadequate beverages, and no alcohol on final night of stay. They are phoning it in here for the hospitality hours-should consider discontinuing rather that have such a poor spread. I like the location, but will think twice before booking this location again. Rather disappointing stay.
