Candlewood Suites Odessa, an IHG Hotel

The only reason I gave 4 stars is for 2 reasons.... 1) Housekeeping is not done daily. It will be done upon a call request the day before, or you can go to the desk and trade one for one with towels and linens. 2) There is no breakfast. But otherwise this is a very nice hotel. Very helpful and friendly.

Location next to the interstate is great, easy to get on and off. Good BBQ area in rear of hotel. Friendly staff, day and night as well as cleaning and maintenance. Beds not up to level of IHG standards, probably due to be replaced soon. Kitchenette could use more utensils and pans for extended stays. Coffee machine in pantry area is really bad.

Coffee wasn’t great and no breakfast but they had a cupboard. Rooms pretty cool the way they are settled but small bed and broken tiles in bathroom. First room smelled bad but front desk sent me to a different room that didn’t smell and. The location is in the outskirts and not by any food or anything. If that’s the area you need, it works.

When traveling to TX - I had the opportunity to visit two different Candlewood Suites - one in Texarkana, AR and the other in Odessa, TX. The hotel lives up to its name in cleanliness and staff friendliness. I would recommend this hotel brand to anyone that is expecting a nice, clean quiet stay~

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable.

We ended up having to stay here for 2 nights while waiting for a pilot car leaving Odessa. We stayed in the king suite with the full kitchen and we really liked the layout of the room. The large tv was also a bonus but it was not connected to the wifi so we were unable to stream to it which is a bit of a bummer but not a huge deal. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit rough though which is why I am only giving 4 stars. The tub didn’t drain properly, the shower curtain was barely long enough for the tub so it was hard to keep it in and the tiles were all coming up on the floor and missing grout. Other than that it was great. They also let us park our semi (bobtail) and we were able to have our cat in the room which an extra fee and both of those things were hard to find in the area.

This is for the Candlewood on John Ben Sheppard Parkway in Odessa, Texas. |Seemed to be a much older hotel and was very rundown. |Tile was cracked in the bathroom.|Shower curtain was very tattered and was even cut off on the bottom.|When entering to look at the room, the lamp and clock by the bed were both unplugged and the lamp didn't even work. |If you touched it, it wobbled and looked like it was going to fall apart. |Definitely not somewhere to stay again. |

I stay here once a month. It is close to highway. The Flying J across the highway is convenient. Other restaurants are up the road to the north of this hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable.
