Arrived to our room to find the toilet seat up and dried piss on the seat. The pool and hot tub were extremely cloudy and had small black material floating around. Went to grab the breakfast that 630AM to find not a soul in the lobby - when the worker finally arrived from outside, they didn’t speak a word and shortly left again. The trash was overfilling onto the counter top where the food was. Both waffles machines were broken - one indicated it was broken, the other did not, but I quickly found out that it was broken. There was old, burnt pieces of a previous waffle left inside the machine with no way to scrape it out. The waffles mix came out very watery and then very clumpy. Not sure how long that’s been sitting there… the cream cheese and butter were all left out in a bowl becoming very warm as they were not refrigerated. The bagels were soggy because they had removed them from the freezer and laid them out for people to grab. At this point, I opted in for dry cereal as that seemed to be the safer option - only to find the cereal to be stale and the raisins in the Raisin Bran were completely white - again, not sure when that was replenished but it seemed like maybe prior to covid? This hotel is motel quality at best. The microwave may have been the very first microwave to hit the market - I’ve never seen such an old appliance. It was really disheartening to see how little the workers cared about their jobs and just how lazy they all were. Complete waste of money at this dump. I’d rather sleep in my car next time - at least I know that’s clean.

Lock outs, repetitively! Not clean! Not renovated! Freezing pool, messed up hot tub you press a million times it starts like a couple mins later to stop again in a few mins. Dirty office/eating area. Dirty room! Scratches all over! Two tvs in front of each other, with 5 remotes. This was supposed to be a healing adventure, and it turned out to be a nitemare! The Shilo inn is decent. This place, pass on it. Our stuff was held hostage since the 3 rooms I was given keys to all had door lock outs that they knew. Wet heads outside 20 mins in the freezing cold. You guys need to clean it up! Fix your lock problems! Renovate the rooms! I got charged fees 2x after paying on hotels.com This was such a bad experience, I contacted my bank to get all my money refunded.

Nice room, not on the beach, but the price was right (Expedia). Includes breakfast which is my complaint...no coffee, toaster didn't work. You could only get cold cereal or make a waffle.

I will start with the positive. First of all I did a booking thru booking I thought I did a different hotel so this was my first time there. Check in was great there was a nice lady who waited on us. It was quick. Went to the pool first thing it was warm and we had a great time specially since the pool was warm. We did bring our own towels from home thank God we took them with us cause there were no towels and I mean no one that was in there got any towels. We asked and never saw them. Fine not a big deal. The water in our room stayed hot for two baths took a while to fill the tube up. The room was cold the heater didn't work called and went down about I couldn't find anyone and no one answered the phone when called. Once again I know from experience what to bring from home ( blanket). The next morning my teenager was reading the reviews while asking me if I read them before I booked. Like I said I thought it was a different hotel. I wanted the bay vue which was closed. One review was done 2 minutes before we were getting ready for breakfast yip didn't go cause that review. Oh at check in they had cookies in a bowl that you could eat. No tongs so you don't know if peoples hands were in there but before eating them. No thank you. not having any part of that. I think I will pay the extra money to stay at a nicer hotel. The pics are what the chairs looked like.

I stayed there last night. My room wasn't as bad as some of the reviews for the price I wasn't expecting much. My grown child's room was another story. Even for the price. Bed was not a queen bed. Mold, holes burn marks and stained sheets would have done it for me. Also she has told me someone had tried open her door at 1 am. Kinda scary thought after reading reviews on male employees here hitting and sending unwanted texts to other guests. Very disgusting. Still waiting for deposit. Sure after the reviews they will try something funny with deposit. But good thing we was smart enough to take pictures. On a serious note OSHA and HEALTH department someone needs to step in. Breakfast was not good at all. Orange juice smelt horrible. Cream cheese for bagels was left out in a dish with butter was very warm. That can't be safe. I didn't go swimming but my daughter said she would have rather swam in ocean bc it smelt better then pool. I thought she was playing at first but we got home today and I went to put the swim wear to wash. Let's just say I had to throw them out. No way was that smell coming out or was I ruining my washer. The person who is responding to these reviews has horrible customers service. You sound very rude. We tried to call previously and who ever is working is very rude. I just want my full deposit back in a timely manner and I definitely won't be doing business with this company at all again. I am sure like most of us who left a review in the last two weeks deserve a refund. Your shady company wouldn't do the right thing. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN UNTIL THE CAN FIX THE PROBLEM THEY HAVE WITH ROOMS AND STAFF.

We stayed the 25th -27th of January 2025. It was our daughters bday party with her sister and two friends. A heated indoor pool was all she wanted. The pool was dark, ice cold Saturday and dirty with the inside walls all chipping off. Sunday went to the pool to find it left with a hose of ice cold water running in it. The hot tub was over flowing and not hot, must have gotten the hose 1st. No one at the desk to have it shut off. Water running all over the place, my kids crying because of it. Both mornings the was basically no food left for breakfast, sunday morni g they ran out of waffle mix which was what the 4 kids wanted. Which ment we had to go out to breakfast which cost 100 bucks for 4 kids and 2 adults. Anytime we called the front desk there was no answer. The girl with blue hair that works the morning shift was literally hiding behind the desk sunday morning when we were looking for plates. She acted helpless. We were told the owner would be in at 3 and we could call to discuss all the issues but of course no answer. I had to call who I booked through to actually make the complaint so the hotel has to respond. We come to ocean shores many times a year and love it but will NEVER stay here again. Trash all in the back grounds, outside the windows. Broke down truck and canopy structure right out the window which was sketchy to say the least, even my kids thought it was creepy. Not a good vibe at all and it cost us 464$ for 2 nights of this!

I went to stay here and was greated by a very rude and impersonal attendant. He did not greet me with a friendly hello or smile. He took my ID and credit card and proceeded to stare at the computer in silence for over 5 minutes. Finnaly I kindly asked do you need my reservation. He smugged and said no I found it then proceeded to tell me my card was declined whrn I had 3000 dollars on it I don't want to say he is raciest because he is Asian but he sure acted like he did not want a Blackman staying here. I took my business elsewhere and will never come back

I am a combat veteran and I stayed at this hotel with my wife and service animal. We originally booked at the Westerly but we wanted to be closer to the pool. So we upgraded for an additional $22.000. I thought that sounded fair. That's where the B.S. begins. First, they tried to charge extra for my service animal. I quoted the law, that they are not allowed to charge for service animals. The manager tried to argue with me. So I showed her the law on my phone. After about 15 minutes, she agreed to let us stay with "no extra charge." We only stayed 1 night, then moved to our next location. To my surprise, 3 days later, they had charged an additional $100 to my debit card. When I called them about it, I was told several times that they could not find the charge. They told me they would have the manager call me back the next morning. I never received a call back. I called them back the next evening. I was told again that they could not find the charge. They asked me to send them a copy of the charges so I did. Then I got a call back about 15 minutes later and they told me that I was charged for "damage." They told me they had pictures. But they were unable to tell me what kind of damage. I asked them to provide me with a detailed report of damages and pictures. They never sent anything. I WILL NEVER STAU HERE AGAIN. They found an illegal way to charge me for my service animal. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
