Methow River Lodge and Cabins

This is a cute hotel that is in a great location with river views and an easy walk to town. Rooms were decent but like several other reviewers mentioned the service was a bit lacking...I'm not sure if they were short staffed or the staff was just indifferent. We had an issue with the sheets on the pull-out couch being damp and when I reported it to the front desk they didn't know where to find replacement sheets...they did eventually find one flat sheet. The breakfast did not start until after 9:00 a.m. which is late in a town where most people are getting an early start for hiking etc. so we missed breakfast the first day of our stay and the second day everything was pretty much gone by 9:15. It wasn't an awful stay and I would consider staying again due to the convenience and price but hopefully they will make some improvements to their customer service.

We've stayed here twice now, once in the main lodge and once in a private cabin. I highly recommend this place. It's very cozy and has a great location. Food and shopping is a short, scenic walk away, and you're near enough to North Cascades National Park to easily make a full day out of it. There is a decent amount of both touristy and regular amenities nearby as well. During one visit we were able to walk over the foot bridge and see salmon. During the other, we had a hot tub and hammock to enjoy the fall weather!

My cousin lives north of Seattle all her life, and she has traveled all over the state, more than a few times! I was staying with her in Oct2024, and we traveled together. We stayed one night in this lodge, and had an excellent experience. We walked around the town, connected by a sturdy bridge, and ate dinner there. The lodge is rustic for sure, well constructed, homey and comfortable. The rear patios overlook the river. We had deer outside our door when we woke up! Beds are comfy. The bathroom was a bit cold, so turn on the shower on hot a few minutes to warm it up. Breakfast was the basics, nothing fancy, serve yourself and it hit the spot. I would def stay there again!

Positive: Really nice location about 100 yards from the bank of a river. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Negative: Breakfast could've been a little more expansive, but it was sufficient. The biscuits and gravy was a nice addition.

We stayed in a cabin which looked out at the river. Beautiful setting and a quick walk on the trail to town. The kitchen had everything we needed and the other guests were quiet. Deer walked by in the morning. AC worked great and there was plenty of hot water. We arrived a bit early and they let us check in right away. Washer and dryer worked well. The floors could have been better swept or vacuumed. There was no daily housekeeping, but I didn't expect that in the cabin with a washer and dryer.

Be advised that this property has a 7-day cancellation policy. Your credit card is charged 6 days before arrival. We were unable to complete a planned trip because of a medical emergency. I cancelled 6 days before arrival date. No refund was offered only credit for a future trip. Turned this down, because one couple was visiting from out of state and would not be returning. We have been to Winthrop previously and have no desire to return.

Attractive motel, comfortable room however the mattress in Room 20 is EOL and needs replacing. Wifi worked well, lighting was good and nice view from balcony. Breakfast was lacking for accomodation at this price point- didn't even have bread to make toast.

Positive: Nice river view. The girl Friday on the desk was great. Had special request for room location . She skillfully did it. Our daughter is handicapped , she made it happen. Great room for her. Negative: ""
