Best Western Plus Appleton Airport/Mall Hotel

First room (316) they had us in was so disgustingly filthy, I let the front desk know, we had to wait about 30 min in the lobby with our belongings to get a different room (116). The room we ended up in had less amenities. There was no phone, no microwave, no remote for tv, no garbage can. There was 1 lamp, no shade, did not work. The rug was wet due to a cleaning, there were cob webs in the corners, and the room was extremely echoey. Dirtiest hotel I have ever been in.

Anthony was very kind, patient and respectful at the time of check in. This man worked very hard during his entire shift. He was non-stop busy. The hotel was completely booked for kids sporting events and he maintained his composure given the circumstances of working alone, when it was clearly a 2 or more person job. Give this man a raise!

I will start out saying that this hotel is incredibly clean, the breakfast was fantastic, and everything exceeded my expectations until the final moments of my stay. I typically travel on a motorcycle and stay at Best Western locations due to them being known as motorcycle-friendly hotels. Typically, that means that they allow motorcyclists to park near the front door at night. Some locations also give you rags to wipe off your bike, but that's not a big deal for me (and I doubt this location does based off the rest of this story).||Upon getting ready to leave this location the following morning, the owner of the hotel (he lives on site from what I can tell) approached me with an aggressive attitude, stating that he was going to tow my bike for not parking in a parking spot like everyone else. (I was parked near the door, but not in front of it). The entire situation could have been handled much more professionally on his part, and a simple request at ANY time to have me move my bike from where it was parked would have been acceptable. ||However, the attitude I was approached with as I was getting ready to leave, and his reaction when I said that Best Western hotels are known to be motorcycle-friendly hotels that allow you to park near the door, tells me everything I need to know: This guy does not like motorcycles. (Perhaps if I was a 6-foot tall man he would have approached me differently. I'm a shorter woman traveling alone, so perhaps he felt that he could be less professional towards me, but I genuinely hate to assume things like that.)||I checked in to the hotel at 7pm the previous evening and checked out some time around 10:30am the next morning. Not a single issue with any staff until the interaction with the owner. 17+ stays at Best Westerns this year and not a single issue or interaction like this one in regards to motorcycle parking.||A 5+ star experience was quickly ruined in a few minutes by a lack of professionalism and unnesseary aggression/attitude. I will not be back to this location.

Our room was OK. Had two different tvs and two of the same remote. Our shower and our sink were clogged. But Casey at breakfast was amazing. Such an amazing guy. So friendly. Thsts the only reason why i gave service 4 stars. Otherwise our stay was ok.

Very clean, well maintained. Friendly staff. Stayed Friday and Saturday, the breakfast was pretty good. Great location, will 100% stay again.

It looks like the cleaners quit cleaning halfway through the job. One bed wasn’t made there’s still garbage in the room. The bathroom had barely been cleaned up. To top it off my room was freezing and I could not adjust the temperature. I’m glad family wasn’t with me.

Left a sketchy hotel and instead checked into the Best Western. Smart move!!! Beautiful place. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed & pillows. Staff very polite. Room was large, with plenty of storage space if you like to unpack your bags. Bathroom was good sized. Toilet did run on and the sink faucet was loose but both problems were fixed within an hour of alerting the front desk clerk. A/C unit very quiet with "auto" setting to cycle on/off. Kept room very cool. Breakfast offered plenty of hot/cold options. Large seating area overlooking a pond. Overall great 3-day stay.

It's was clean, quick check in, the bed was awesome. Slept great! I will stay here again. I also felt safe. The breakfast was very good also.
