Moxy Madison Downtown

To room was tiny but it's very comfy. Love that I can use the TV as Bluetooth speaker. I've stayed in many hotel and is one of the cutest. The walk-in shower was great as well, especially if shower is your thing. Overall, it's beautiful non the less.

Moxy hotels are fun and different, but this one sets an even higher bar than others. Everything is new and clean. The common areas and rooms are more spacious than other Moxy hotels. Their Jungle room suite was super cool with a record player, records and tons of space. I’d definitely stay here again!

The vibe this place gives made my whole trip. Staff was super friendly and answered my questions even though I was a little scatter brained from the long drive in. The desk lady helped explain everything to me and guided me to where I was headed for the concert that night. Only downfall was no mini fridge. But for what you pay I didn't care. I love the simplicity of the rooms. So many features serve multiple functions and there are details of the room I've never seen anywhere before in my many travels. Location was perfect. Not sure who designed this concept but hats off to you it was awesome. Definitely coming back.

Loved the unconventinal decor in this hotel. Staff were friendly and the room was nice. Also, it's super convenient if you're attending a show at the Sylvee and need a place to stay for the evening.

Nice hotel overall and great experience with staff. 4/5 as not ideal for business travel. King rooms don’t have desk, furniture, closets, or fridges. It’s either bed or folding camp chair. Rooms smaller than an NYC studio apartment.

My overall view is “Ehhhh” I travel a ton for work and stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. This one is not really my favorite. The room is very small, there are no chairs, closets, or fridge. The bathroom sink and countertops are also very small and the walls are paper thin. Aesthetically it’s kinda cool but that’s about it. The lights are automatic so even when they are flipped on, if you don’t walk into that part of the room they automatically go off which is annoying. In addition there is no where to put your bags if you come with multiple. They are most likely going in the foor. There is also no parking, you have to pay valet which is $35 a day or $37 with tax. It just wasn’t my favorite. Not bad per se but also not great.

No fridge, microwave, or closet. Would be good for crashing after a night on the town, but for a longer stay there’s not even a place for a carryon other than the floor! Also there’s no fan in the bathroom. And the temperature control is poor - you can’t do heat only or AC only, it’s heat and AC. “Centrally controlled.” Room is small! Everything is trendy and clean. Staff is nice. Also walkable.

The property is cute, great location, staff was great. Rooms are small but fine if you're not expecting to work or accomplish anything but sleep/shower. The beds... not great. I understand that they are "European style," but I have never experienced a harder mattress. When I was in Girl Scouts as a child, we made these cushions to sit on while camping called "sit-up-ons" and they were made of folded newspaper covered in fake leather. This mattress reminded me exclusively of those, and not of any IKEA or European mattress I have ever experienced. It needs to be noted in no uncertain terms that these beds are hard. If that's your thing, you will indeed find it here.
