NillI’m going to make some statements about the Motel 6 in Oak Creek. The one that’s near the intersection of 13th Street and College Avenue. My opening statement is this: I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was due primarily to the fantastic hospitality that the entire staff provided. From the highest level employee, to the front desk, the skilled and efficient housekeeping team and the dedicated and colorful laundry. Each segment of the workers I mentioned somehow found a way to not only prove themselves with their professional ability but also to find a way to shine on a personal, human level. For that I say thank you all a thousand times over. We will no doubt be staying there again in the near future when we once again pass through the area. We will also be sure to share with our friends and others just what an amazing experience our stay was! Kudos, keep up the exceptional efforts!!!

NillFront Desk staff was excellent - welcoming, efficient, helpful. The room was very clean and everything worked. Bed comfortable, towels fine, shower great. There was even a surprising large and varied selection in the vending machines, which I appreciate after travel. Unfortunately the room did smell somewhat like smoke which was somewhat unpleasant.

NillAnyone who tells you this place sucks is not entirely correct. It has one particular saving grace that elevates it above some obvious (though mostly forgivable) flaws, and that is that the staff are across-the-board excellent. They may take a li’l minute to fully warm up to you, but before you leave, they will no doubt show you the type of kind, helpful, caring and relaxed people they are. Thanks for the warm welcome! Gossip is lame but a person cannot be labeled a clucking hen just because they are in the midst of others’ chatter. It was in precisely this situation at different times I could not help to overhear an alarming claim. People were saying that Motel 6 has cockroaches so I would be remiss not to address this issue. First though, let me say that cockroaches and bedbugs are so prevalent that EVERY place deals with them. That’s the sad reality of modern lodging. The question then becomes, “Am I somewhere that is proactive and dedicated to protecting their patrons from being affected?” I say that they at Motel 6 are. I’ve never seen a roach. Never seen a bedbug. Don’t spread a rumor unless it’s true and in this case don’t do it unless it’s an ongoing concern and the place doesn’t take measures to eradicate it. Then and only then should one disparage.

NillClean rooms, no bugs! Convient location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks Ms. B and the rest of the Motel 6 staff for a pleasant stay. I highly recommend Motel 6 for your next overnight stay, and/or if you need an extended stay option..

NillCindy, the room cleaner, did amazing job! My room didn't have a heat. I asked her for help and I was helped in NYC second. She immediately moved me to another room ( less then 30 min). I was in the room 139 and she moved me to 129. This is what I call professionalism! I highly recommend this hotel. And Cindy is one of the reason of my recommendation!

NillVery bad place. Residents and some staff congregate right outside the front door smoking. very scary at night. not easy to get into the doors because of the amount of people loitering outside. Black bug crawling on bathroom floor. Large dog barking all night long. Had to ask to have the room key reprogrammed every time I tried to use it. Remote did not work. Internet access very spotty . Had to ask numerous times for help with the remote. Housekeeping staff very nice and very sweet Two young gentleman working at the front desk very nice and helpful.

NillThere was one mistake made by a new employee when I first checked in. However, I’ve had nothing but exceptional service since then. The manager corrected it in a positive manner for both of us. Another employee that needs to be called out is MISAEL. He was exceptional. He turned an average hotel stay in to an- I want to come back stay. Professional, courteous, well groomed, spoke well. I believe he sincerely was looking out for my well-being. If I owned a business, I want to hire him. Any cleaning staff was really good; courteous, friendly, and did a great job. I had a few more weeks I had to stay for work; I extended my stay right here. Thank you Rm 133

NillStayed here 6 days waiting for my apartment. Everything was great at first. I went to plug in my phone and the night stand fell off the wall wasn’t screwed into anything just floating on a sloped ledge. Took a shower and the handle fell off. Wouldn’t mind if it was a bit cheaper. The worst part of all though is the workers fixing a room next door kept talking crap about me right outside my door! Once I heard them talking crap about what I was watching (they listened) and when walking by said shhhh shhh listen to him. Something smelt bad in the hallway by my room (room smelt nothing) the people walking by my room kept saying like and exactly: “you stink”, and “something in there reeks”. I really wanted to let them look in my room to see nothing bad was going on but I gave up when they wouldn’t even say hi back to me at the front desk when returning from work. The young guy at the front desk was great wish he worked every day. Oh and when u get a half used toilet paper in ur new room and run out don’t ask for more very rude just buy your own, If u don’t like being scrutinized and told no more the first time you’ve asked. The wifi didn’t work once. Or the “cable” trying to use my Xbox on the wifi didn’t work at all I had to use my hotspot to use anything on it. When I was outside smoking, 5-6 cop cars pulled up and two officers went inside when they came back out quickly then drove by me in the parking lot luckily got in my car before being questioned with something I had nothing to do with. So you have to be carful here. Also nothing to keep your food cold so nothing perishable if you say more than a couple days. Some front desk people are great and some are the opposite. Every time I came back from work except one day I had to get my room key reprogrammed never had that before thought worth mentioning. I would come back here in the future if it was a little cheaper or when things are working properly.
