Sunrise Motor Inn

Good location (still need to drive to downtown, but it's just a minute or two). Great price. Clean & comfortable. Ice machine is always full. Nice mini fridge with freezer. Parking right outside your door. One hour from the east entrance of Yellowstone and the drive is spectacular. Nice outside seating area. One negative is the breakfast | which is minimal but a plus for a motor inn. Overall - skip the high priced hotels and run, do not walk to the Sunrise Motor Inn.

Like others have said, it is older, but our whole room was very clean! The sheets and towels were amazing white and 5 of us showered with no loss of water pressure or hot water. There was a slight tinge of cigarette smoke smell, but it was only noticeable when we first walked in. We only needed a place to stay for the night after the rodeo and it was great- cheap and we had 3 queen beds! The man working the desk was very kind. I wasn't expecting there to be any breakfast, so was glad we were able to get some cereal and oatmeal. Works for us!

Nice clean motel. Staff was delightful and helpful. We stayed an extra day and night because the pool area was clean, quiet, and private, behind motel and well away from the road and parking lot. It is not heated however! But sun is warming it up fast. It's a sweet spot in a busy area so close to restaurants etc. Has a laundry area for guests to use.Thank you!

Pro: The location is great, the staff is friendly, spacious room Cons: The ac in the “family room” wasn’t working properly, the regular fan would kick in most of the time and it never stopped running. No hot water in the sinks, room smelled like cigarettes when we walked in, I had to kill four bugs that came on my bed, pulled out the bed to check and had to kill another 2 bugs, this room definitely needs more attention. I wouldn’t stay here again…

There was a review just before we got there about this place being dirty! It is older, but our room, bed, bathroom were all clean. The bathroom needed some base boards finished, But other than that, it was fine for this type of motel. We have stayed here before years ago and it was good then too! The pool was open, but had a bit of a film on the top of the water so we didn’t go in. Had a nice deck area around the pool. Also had a nice sitting area in the middle of the parking lot with shade, tables, chairs, where we played cards for two nights! They also have chairs outside ur door to relax in too. R price for Jul 11 $129 US and the next was only $99 US. Hotel rooms r so expensive now that this was reasonable compared to others. The bed was comfortable. Pillows as usual could be better but not horrible if u stack them. I would stay here again. Breakfast was included but not an overly big amount or variety of food.

Mid century motel. Needs work. Needs cleaning. However for $103 we got a mini 3 room apartment. We checked for bedbugs and did not see any. The floors could have been cleaned better. Plugs were scarce and loose. Lamps not working. The rest of the room was clean. The check in clerk was friendly enough. We liked having functioning windows to let in fresh air. The parking lot and grounds are well lit. Not fancy but cheapish and reasonable.

Note on one of the advertisement pictures a photo of the motel with 1950's cars parked outside. I'm sure during that time, the motel was very nice and updated. After walking through a waft of air freshener to starkly decorated, damaged furniture, slow plumbing, no pictures on the walls, I barely slept as a bunch of rowdy people were in the parking lot having a party. We cancelled our next night reservation and went to another hotel which was a welcome change for the same money. Go figure.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. First and foremost, the guy running the front desk is incredibly rude and dismissive. Secondly, the motel is disgusting and has bed bugs. It was dirty upon opening the door and there is bed bugs residue on the mattress as well as black spots. The walls are cracking and peeling and have holes in them. The floors are dirty and covered in grime. The shower and bath mat had black dots on it and my white shoes were instantly black. The bed had various stains including blood, coffee, and unknown substances. There was also hair on the bed and you could tell there is minimal if any cleaning done. I don’t believe they actually clean before the next tenant arrives nor do they care. My boyfriend told the front desk guy he was not staying there and they refused to refund him. The guy offered to change the sheets, but the room should be spotless on arrival. I would not recommend and rather sleep in my car. We drove into town and booked a night at Moose Creek Inn which was fantastic and spotless. It’s worth paying $20 or more for a clean and bed bug free room.
