Point Of View Inn

It was my first time visiting Maine, and I would highly recommend Point of View Inn to family and friends. I came in the off-season and basically had the whole place to myself. The host, Sterling, was extremely friendly even though I was on and off again with my reservation. The hotel room was perfect, and the location to both the ocean and OOB activities is excellent.

The owner told me to try the motel 6 because my wife was wearing a shirt with an American flag for 4th of July. Felt very disrespected and treated as if I was a second class citizen. They had a Canadian flag waving outside so I guess they set up shop in US to exploit our business friendly property and tax laws? Really sad to see such spiteful elitists. I have never felt so unwelcome in my own country. Apparently Jim Crow laws are back in fashion.

Great inn, very comfortable rooms, outstanding cleanliness and very attentive staff. We were surprised to find such high end mattresses and amenities furnished in the room, the owner clearly knows where to prioritize investments into guest comforts.Would stay again and recommended to a friend.

This will be our first destination spot four years from now. I truly hope that you are able to bounce back from this chaos and continue to be able to host your wonderful Canadian and European guests alike. Beautiful location.

If you're a Canadian and you absolutely must come to Old Orchard Beach, pick this inn over the others. It's a nice inn and the owner understands and empathizes with Canadian sentiments.
