NillWe chose Creel & Cartridge because it was convenient to our canoe trip meeting place in Sterling. It’s a hidden gem (literally; Google Maps will get you there, but there’s no sign from the highway and the road turns to gravel quickly). Once there, it’s quiet and peaceful with everything we could want: a large yummy fresh-cooked breakfast (including pancakes with fresh local berries), a great view with an expansive lawn sloping down to a lake, a hot tub overlooking the lake (with a stuffed porcupine for company), all sorts of snacks, wifi, and lots of outlets with USB charging. We didn’t notice when we booked that the bathroom was shared, but it was perfectly clean. The hosts were very friendly; they were happy to show us around even though we got there late, and offered to store our stuff while we went off canoeing for a couple days. It was a comfortable, authentic Alaskan base for our adventures in the Kenai River / Sterling area.

NillOwner was very anti-family with the neighbors, blowing an airhorn at them while they were enjoying sun on the lake. Very disappointed in the behavior that was witnessed. Would not recommend associating yourself with that type of person or business model.

NillFantastic trip. The knowledge that Sherri and Kim have to share to make your experience wonderful is unsurpassed. They treated us like family and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you both for a great experience.
