★★★★★My husband and I stayed in the Backcountry Cabin in July 2015. We loved it! It's small, but plenty of room for 2 adults. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed...they even had complementary oatmeal and hot chocolate. We used the canoes that were available down by the lake. There are no fish in Denise Lake. ||The Backcountry cabin is attached to the garage. There were laundry machines and fish tables and a vacuum sealer available. They do have a sign on the door for quiet hrs. after 9pm and before 9am. ||We did see a few Moose. We also liked being close to Talon Air for our fly out trips.||I highly recommend staying here. The owners and Elizabeth are great!!

★★★★After having just spent 11 days here I can report I was not disappointed . We rented both of the smaller cabins. 3 guys stayed in each with no problem. The cabins had everything we needed for our trip. The view was very nice of the lake and the fire pit was used several nights.||The garage on sight was used for fish processing, and they have everything there you need. We were here for a fishing trip to the Kenai River and the place worked out great.

★★★★★The Mallard's Nest was the perfect little cabin for four nights of our trip. It was mid-week so it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful, relaxing setting after our excursions, so relaxing, in fact, that we opted to grill at the cabin, rather than go out most nights. The cabin had everything we needed, right down to good coffee and a grinder :-). Serenity is centrally located so was a comfortable distance to most of the things we wanted to do. Dave and Katie were MOST helpful in setting up our excursions and connected us to wonderful experiences.

★★★★★Just returned from a week at Alaska Serenity. We rented the entire King Salmon for 4 couples and could not have been more comfortable. It had everything we could have possibly needed and Dave, Katie and Elizabeth were more than helpful! Dave had arranged some fishing trips for us and when one of them was not going to be a good value due to the lack of Kings coming in, he immediately rolled us into an excellent fly out trip complete with float plane picking us up on Denise Lake right at our front door. Thank you Dave! Someone inadvertantly locked the door into where one of our couples had their fish stored and Elizabeth got out of bed at 1:00 a.m. to let them in so they could make their 6 a.m. flight out of Anchorage! Thank you Elizabeth! Having access to the fishing equipment and packaging facilities is a real money saver for the guests as well. I would definitely recommend a stay at Alaska Serenity to anyone I know.||Carla in Arizona

★★★★★Just returned from a 5 night stay at Mallard's Nest. My husband and I went to celebrate his recent retirement. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Perfect for the two of us, all the amenities we could ask for (including a vacuum sealer for all the fish we caught) and tucked away overlooking Denise Lake. Dave and Katie were awesome to work with and Elizabeth was extremely helpful once we arrived. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely stay there again next year when we go back!!

★★★★★We just completed our stay at Alaska Serenity Lodge and were extremely satisfied with the accommodations. The great facilities are complete with wi fi, dish tv, refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens and the utensils you need; just bring your groceries if you want to cook. The location is right in the heart of Soldotna, near supermarkets, restaurants and the Kenai River. The facilities include a garage to process, seal, and freeze your fish, but clean your catch at the river. After fishing, enjoy the scenery on Denise Lake and the outdoor fire pit. The manager was readily available and willing to answer any questions we had. We saw moose and caribou right around the lodge.

★★★★★The owners, Dave and Katie, are very friendly and attentive to their guests' comfort. They called us several times before our trip to make sure we knew how to get there and to see if we needed anything. When a highway closure delayed our arrival by 7 hours, she made sure the room was left open and that the lights were on for us upon arrival. Later the next morning when she saw that we were up she checked in with us to see if we needed anything and invited us to make ourselves at home not only in our cabin but also to feel free to use the other amenities at the lodge.||||Our cabin, situated at the edge of a picturesque lake inhabited by loons and other waterfowl, was clean throughout, comfortable, quiet, and private. It was equipped with a cozy King size bed, TV, stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink , BBQ, pots & pans, dishes and utensils. It was stocked with hot cocoa and oatmeal for a quick and easy breakfast, too. A washer & dryer for laundry was available in the back of a nearby cabin and if you wanted, there was a freezer for storing fish and several canoes to use on the lake.||||Lots of companies talk about providing good service to their customers but Dave and Katie follow through and provide superior service at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend the Alaska Serenity Lodge to anyone contemplating a stay in the Soldotna area.
